Why is an oil leak castastropic on this car if the oil indicator stills says at max?

I don’t think it is. Separate issues.

I had a PDK leak on my '11' GTS. Found it at my first oil change around 800-1000 miles. The tech had to clean the area and then spray some sort of powder around the area with the leak. Put 200 miles on the car brought it back in and the leak, extremely small, was still there. They put in a new transmission.

What was the resolution for folks who are having a similar problem? Engine out service to replace the faulty oil pipe assembly?

It should be the oil pipe assembly that supplies oil to the crank. This is a 991.2 GT3/RS only part as now we have hollow crank that oil can flow through. I suggest all of .2 GT3/RS owners should take a look at yours.

Dealer replaced the oil pipe and associated hardware under warranty. No engine-out work required.

I also had a tiny leak. In my case the dealer replaced parts 1, 2, 3 and 5.

That's strange. Did your car already have the newer version of part #4 (that ends in "93")?

I don't know...the car was built in Sept 2018 and the problem description is "oil tube guide that goes to crankshaft pulley leaking"

I'm not sure when the part supply chain was updated. Were you aware of the leak previously? Can you confirm that it's dry now?

I suspected the leak since I added a little oil and when I subsequently checked, the reading had not changed. So, on a hunch I asked them to have a look while the car was at the dealer for something else. They confirmed a tiny leak and ordered the parts I mentioned above. I'll keep monitoring and I'll have a look at the diffuser the next time the car is on a lift.

Well my car lost two marks on the oil indicator and i found a drop of oil on the diffuser ! But i didnt think alot of it . I thought the car was eating some oil during break in. Added 300 ml and all was fine !
The engine was dry 100% though !
Will check the diffuser again tommorow

I noticed my Manuel 2019 gt3 has a oil leak and bringing the car in Wed to the dealer. I noticed it when I was installing my SW Center by pass. A decent amount of the diffuser
I still went forward with the install. The Dealer shouldn't blame anything for a center muffler delete right? I dont see Porsche dealer making a big deal about Center muffler delete but I thought I ask
