Apologies for being off topic....but related to this comment. Are F cars really that finicky?

I think the new ones are pretty reliable and if you get a brand new one, its like 7 yrs of free service....pretty compelling

the soeciale is awesome! The 488 is faster but speciale is limited edition, NA, amazing to drive. Very visceral. Doubt you will get a deal but doesn’t hurt to be on the lookout.

whereas I’ll lose my butt when it comes time to sell the 488, your money with the soeciale will be safe.

If if you can do it- go for it.

i don’t know your budget obviously but if the Speciale is a stretch, a regular 458 is amazing too. Can get on less than 200k.

488s you are in the 270ish Range.

no bad choices. Just depends on budget and desire.

as long as you have no intentions to lower the ride height, you will be fine without the lift.

I've had a 430, 458, 488 coupe and spider, and an f12, all had zero issues. Besides basic maintenance, nothing went wrong with them. You can search over on ferrarichat, ferrari's of late have been fine and with the 7 years of maintenance included, its a plus. Also ferrari started last year( i think it was last year) the ability to buy extended warranties through ferrari's for cars up to 15 years old.

Also, the lift isn't necessary, I barely ever used mine, but I'd probably just get it if it were me.

It’s a 5370 (split second chronograph with enamel dial). One of my favourites.

Zero issues? That's better than my Porsches. What about the F430 exhaust manifold and headers cracking over and over due to a poor design in the heat venting? How long on average did you own any given Ferrari?

Thanks for the opinion. I realize I may be paying over for the ' bubble wrap' cndn of this car. May opt for one that has een well driven as I intend to drive mine!

I keep my cars about a year, but I do drive them weekly and put on miles. I bought the f430 used and the manifolds had already been done by previous owner.

i would take a Speciale over a 488 anyday of the week. Flappy paddle turbos are everywhere now.

Aside from the best soundtrack out there, the Speciale even looks better than the 488 to my eyes.

With a $200k budget, what Ferrari would you recommend? 458 or a 430 Scuderia or something else?
