i can tell you why, at least for me.
i am a macho dude
i can heel and toe like senna
i bought manual
i stall
i realized i cant drive
then i money shifted trying to park it in garage, in addition to hitting my kid's bike. luckily he's not on the bike.
so i need to sell it and buy RS so i can use the PDK
make the Gt3 great again. Put a CVT in it

So until I no longer have a choice it is manuals where I can, gas guzzling V8s where I can, NA when I can ... there'll be plenty of time for automatics later, no way I'm getting ahead of that curve.
+1. Exactly

I’m with soulsea, whilst they still make NA cars with manual gearboxes I will buy them. I’m in no hurry to pursue ‘progress’ down the path of turbo/hybrid/electric with the car changing the gears and ultimately taking over the wheel. My Touring may be the last new car I buy for fun - unless somehow I can get into a Singer, but that’s not really a new car either I guess.

Simply goes to show that for many, all the hype about the 6MT GT3 was less about the “driving engagement, more connection to the car and visceral experience of ‘rowing the gears’ nonsense” and more about the flip opportunity! Velocity should debut a TV show called Rev It or Flip It.

Now those hypocrites are right back here FLIPPING those cars and have some dumb excuses like “oh I drive my 4.0 or 488 or 720 more so it is time to sell”.

Manual thing was the cool thing for ego, as the brain shifts the car whether it is a stick or paddles...in both cases...

Perception though establishes value in life....if it's cool it's expensive.....it is why the Kardashians are Kings and queens of America - perception that they are happening...

Marketing is king in helping to establish values and Porsche does good manipulative Marketing....

I love my manual and drive the **** out of my car. Probably will keep this unless the 992 is manual and NA also. I have no desire to trade up for a pdk RS. If I get a dual clutch it will be an F car.
