Pretty simple. It's GT3 owners stepping of to the RS. Since the RS was released a year after the GT3, it makes perfect sense. I should know, as I've done the same.

Sam, it's been like this for a while. Several months ago when I bought my Slate Grey GT3 for $20k over (killed me to do it but could not resist the color/build) there were nearly a dozen PTS GT3s for sale. Most stealers feel like PTS justifies higher ADM (say $25-40k vs. $15-25k). This plus the $13k for paint job really narrows this market. These cars are a value at MSRP. But add in lots of options and ADM, and the prices stop making sense.

It'll be interesting to see what happens if the 991.2 is truly the last year of the N/A engine or manual or Touring...

These three uncertainties are helping keep prices lofty here IMHO.

bluehorse,
That is what I find the most disheartening...such a waste for these pts slots.

And none at MSRP ....

Minimum 15k ADM and that is a PDK with sofas ....

And only a couple tourings (both sold I think as I am looking for a friend for one, NorCal if possible, PM if you know of one at non-stupid ADM).

$15k ADM for a PTS car is a steal! If it's your color, or close to it, don't hesitate.

Tourings are interesting. Purely cosmetic package. Porsche could've made some 911R-type enhancements and charged $50k more, and the demand would be as high or higher.

I wonder how many will be built, <991!?

The touring looks great. Beautiful car. However, makes absolutely NO sense that it would have higher ADMs, particularly in the long run.

On second thought, a steal for a PTS car would be MSRP. $15k is simply fair, not a steal.
With so many ‘used’ GT3s for sale, I have to believe MSRP is not too hard to find.
Tourings with higher premiums makes sense to me baecause there’s less supply.

Really? Seems impossible to find for me. Even what I think are reasonable offers over (5 to 7k) get laughed at. I do want a manual though. Do those just simply command more ADM? What secret handshake do I need to know to get anywhere close to MSRP? Think I need to settle for a GTS. Can anyone impart some wisdom to a GT3 noob? I want one for the track... not to resell or rub with a diaper in a garage.

Best I know of are $10k over for some pretty heavily optioned GT3 6MT with minimal miles.

I suspect if you offerred 10k over on every car you saw that met your needs, you would get one.

Finding a true stripper (since you want to track) is going to be hard, regardless of ADM because most of the cars got built with lots of options.

.2 market appears to be cooling down.

The asking prices appear the same as 4 months ago, but the speed at which they sell is slower. Before, used delivery mile .2 GT3's would fly off the lots at $15-20K over MSRP. Now, $10-20K still seems to be the asking price, but those cars sit for a lot longer now. Not too sure how much they sell for.

It seems like 1/2 of the first page in the classifieds contains a .2 GT3.

It only going to get worse, recommend dumping if you have one.

As far as I can tell, none are advertised at $10k over. I could be wrong, but I think lowest advertised price is $15-17k.
