speaking of rare colors,... were there any 991.2 Touring painted in Jet Green Metallic? .. I know of only one NA Winged GT3 in that color (just sold recently thru PNH)

I have one winged on my list. No Tourings. @evilfij has a pretty complete Touring list of PTS and he doesn’t have one either. If one exists it is a well kept secret.
Interestingly enough, I’ve gotten a couple PMs about the wheels since posting.
These are RE-MTSP style from BBS. They are forged aluminum and in my opinion better for the street than their magnesium counterpart.
The picture that convinced me was this wheel on a nato olive speedster.
better for street in which way? Yes stronger only maybe ...not handing and cornering
I have tried them both and drove around canyon Re forged aluminum and Magnesium on my touring ....magnesium won hand down handing much much sharper ...after drove them both back to back I sold the RE aluminum a week later

As mentioned previously, I wanted to change the wheel color from Black to Satin Platinum and have just got the car back from the shop. Am very pleased with the result. IMO Platinum matches Agate perfectly. Less agressive and friendlier color and easier to see the components behind the wheels. Thanks to all who posted pictures and offered advice. Now just need to wait for the snow to clear!
New to me 2018 GT3T. Had a 2018 GT3 Winged and 2017 TTS. Gave up the former and immediately regretted it. Sold the latter and bought the GT3T. To me, the best of all worlds.
Carmine Red. Florida car. November 2018 build. 700 miles.
Some pics follow and more to come once the sun comes out.

Correct. None that I know of in the US or Canada as my registry only covers those areas (and none outside the US/Canada to my knowledge). And I have 145 out of 156 PTS tourings in the US/Canada on it. There is a wing manual 991.2 GT3, a 991.3 GT3RS, a speedy, and a targa 4 GTS I am aware of in jet green metallic. Very sparkley color.

Beautiful and agree platinum is perfect. Can you provide details on the process, who did the work and cost (if you can share)?
Best,
G.
Certainly. I looked up a wheel repair specialist bodyshop on Google and found one nearby offering fixed price painting. Spoke with them about the color and process which gave me confidence. There is at least one color coat and a clear coat finish which is lightly baked at low temperature, nothing close to powder coating temperatures, so no worries there. Dropped the car off on a Tuesday afternoon and picked it up 48 hours later.
From some research on Rennlist and elsewhere, I found that the color code for Satin Platinum is 0B5. The OE paint supplier is Glasurit but this body shop uses Standox. The paint manufacturer doesn't seem to make a difference as long as they have the right code. It seems many body shops in the US use PPG paint.
The total cost for 4 wheels including demounting, remounting tires and rebalancing was around $900 which I thought was reasonable.
My daily driver is a silver Golf R which I also swapped out the black wheels for gray. Ditto for the winters.
Thanks so much for the prompt and detailed reply. This is good information and will save me a lot of time and diligence if I go this route.. Love the platinum- my favorite as well and had it on a previous 2018 GT3W. It would definitely be my first choice with an appropriate exterior color (which is almost anything).
