I received confirmation on this from an Akrapovic representative in the States. It also logically looks that it is a direct bolt on. Unless he was mistaken then the factory tips are good to go.

For anyone interested in an Akrapovic (or any other brand system), I would be happy to work with you and have it drop shipped right to your door : )

3. It sounds clean, the sound is linear, doesn't sound like 2 different pitches, doesn't change when valves open, but enhances and is louder and has a purr to it,

The Fabspeed guys were great! I am very happy with the product, and will probably put the headers and some kind of rear muffler in the future.

I will try and make a video, I have no skills in this department and the only thing i have is an iPhone to record it, so will update soon

Still learning about all of these different exhaust options, have some follow up questions

So you can do side delete and retain factory center muffler? It won't "hurt" the center muffler to delete the two side mufflers?

Cost wise at least based on what Fabspeed's valved side delete costs, it seems to be similar to some popular center delete options?

Any negatives/consequences for going with side delete? Engine issues, CEL, smog, emissions, toxic gasses?? (lol)

Is Fabspeed the only company that does the side muffler delete?

I liked the description that Dougr mentioned above with the side delete vs the center delete if his sound observations generally ring true

I wish people would believe me and try the IPE catback system. You get rid of side mufflers, save weight, less heat and it the rear portion has valves. Great build quality, great sound and no drone. The valves are even heat shielded. The only other route I would go is race headers. For everything else, it makes zero sense not to do IPE.

So far for the 991.2, I've only seen the IPE system that includes headers. Where can I find the IPE catback system?

I'd be happy to set you up with one. Drdonger has a nice post farther back in the thread with some sound clips, but I'll PM you some pricing and such for the catback : )

Thank you for asking. Here are a few photos showing our signature satin and brushed finish tips. Both finishes are done by hand and custom logos can be done.

Is there any performance gains(proven) with this system or is it just for sound, weight savings and the little bit less heat?

+20 hp & ft-lb's of torque is claimed by iPE and customers have confirmed those gains as well. Now we just need a video to be shot & uploaded to support all those experiences.

Hey James
Do we know if your 991.2 GT3 center muffler delete will also fit the 991.2 GT3 RS ?
Also what's the weight difference on the RS stock center section v your center section ?
Thanks
