so, how do you control the CEL. this is the million dollar question. dundon headers on .1 do not have an issue, but .2 trigger the CEL. I have to believe this is a problem with the Catless header. Fabspeed tries to eliminate the CEL with o2 sensor relocation and angled sensor position, but this is an issue and without a tune, CEL headaches are stopping me from full headers.

We use O2 Simulators to avoid the CEL when doing the iPE catless headers. Works like a dream.

Just did FVD valved side muffler delete on my .2 3RS. Saves 20 lbs a side. Sound character is OEM just louder, I love it!

Haven't had a chance, and there are vids on YT that are way better than anything I could do.

Yes OEM center. No negatives. Essentially stock level sound with valves closed, same character as OEM with valves open just a bit louder. Not crazy loud by any means, which is perfect for me.

I'm planning on tracking, so I may end up doing a dundon lifetime center muffler, not sure yet though.

Dundon just updated their site showing the 991.2 GT3 being dyno’d with and without their street headers. Without, they got nearly the same results as my car. 456 rwhp. The street headers supposedly add 20hp. Anxious to see the results with the race headers on the .2 and if they get CEL’s.

nothing suooosed about it...

We’ll make a complete post soon. Ecu is in control for power gains, but we have a 991.2 GT3 engine on our race headers running a Bosch MS6 stand alone ecu so we can see how much the stock tune is holding things back...

I should have chosen my words better. I wasn’t doubting you guys by saying supposedly. I noticed there was a big midrange torque dip with the .1 and street headers. Any reason the .2 doesn’t have this dip?

The dip was from cam timing on the 991.1, the 991.2 is running more aggressive cam timing, so no dip!

Also the 991.2 has far more ECU interaction, so more power is definitely available, just have to spend some time with the ECU to get her to like it...

Jamie, look forward to see the dyno on a .2 RS. Also, do your headers clear the diffuser? Does the price listed on the website include the valved side deletes?

Nice that the stock .2 Manual makes 30 hp (flywheel) more than .1 RS

Very curious to see what happens without cats and with a tune...

Yup the headers clear the diffuser, and our GT3 headers come as a complete kit including the valved side deletes. Use the OEM muffler or one of our mufflers!
