You can get a brand new 570S in that price range if you are willing to do a little legwork to get a discounted low-option car in inventory. Compared to a 911 they come very well equipped even with no options.

Also brand new, there is a big factory incentive on NSX now, you can probably pick one up in the $130s if you shop around.

If a .2 GT3 is really what you want, I would just be patient and continue to try to find an allocation. How many dealers have you called? Don't give up so easy...

That budget is enough to include my favorite cars listed below with
my personal ranking in terms of driving pleasure.

New or Used:

- Aston Martin Vantage GTS with manual (rank 4)
- 991.2 GTS with manual (rank 2)
- Mercedes AMG GTS (rank 3)
- 997.2 GT3RS or 997.2 GT3 with COO (rank 1)

GOOD Luck. You have a fun 1st world 1%'er problem on your hands.

My budget is $175,000.

I don't have to have the most expensive car, just the best car to drive under this price point. Hell it can cost $60,000 if it's the best car for the experience.

PDK in a regular Porsche is not the same as PDK-S in the GT3/RS. it’s literally 10x better. I’m a manual guy at heart, and thought as you did about PDK until I drove a 991.1 GT3 with PDK-S and was amazed by how much better it is compared to all other DCT/PDK out there.

You need to drive a 991.1 GT3 with PDK-S. Now that the 991.1 engine has a lifetime warranty, it should be on your shopping list.

#1 would be 458
#2 would be r8 plus, just as fast as huracan but easier to drive around town or 911 turbo s
#3 gt350 if you need a manual

I had the new nsx, don't buy it. Only would buy for 130-140ish but I would take a gt3 for that price point.

If you aren't willing to wait around and want to go all in, then 997.2 GT3RS for a manual or McLaren 570S for flappy paddles.
The car in my Avatar is what I'm driving. It's a 2006 Guards Red 911 C4S Manual with a GT3 Aero Kit. Totally stock. I've owned it for 9 years now. I've been wanting to buy something for a while but the right car just never manifested it's self. The 991.2 GT3 is the first car that makes me want to trade up. I'm currently at 355 hp and this has 500 hp and it's a manual!!! So I feel like it's worth the investment to move up to the GT3. I can wait but I just want something now that I have gotten the itch. Porsche is really F'ed up for doing this to us. Just make enough to go around. Even if we have to wait, just make enough.

I would get a 997.2 RS with extended warranty for 1-2 years and swap it for something else afterwards, if you can’t keep it in addition to another toy. I believe in a year or less the current 991 RS will be in your price range.

I believe that you're right. I just need to hold out and wait. But it's interesting to hear everyone's opinion.

Thanks for the conversation guys. This was a great way to decompress from work. I forgot how great car forums were. I need to get back on and chop it up with everyone more often.

You should be able to get a .2 for that without too much brain damage.

Since a 458 is on your list I am assuming that it is in your price range and would be something you like in principle. That being the case, it is an excellent answer to your question. The car is superb and quite a different experience to the Porsches. Unless the idea of a Ferrari just doesn’t float your boat, it’s something well worth doing at least once. Problem is, it’s hard to do it just the once.... To me, it is a clear and simple choice.
