Fiat 458 spider is pretty fun.

And pretty much fast enough

Nobody has ever doubted the performance of the PDK-equipped car being superior to the manual one, myself included. I just enjoy the shifting and control of timing and severity of the engagement and disengagement of the clutch.

Honestly, I would just pass on this buying opportunity and not buy anything.

Take out your significant other to dinner, enjoy their company, and not worry about Porsches or any other marques for a bit.

Life is about moments, not possessions.

IMO, wait, search, pay up and get the car you originally wanted (GT3). Everything else is Plan B.

Good problem to have though.

You must be my wife hiding behind an avatar

Trust me, she gets her fair share of attention. I just took her to see "IT" last night. Good movie by the way, especially for the fellas that grew up in the 80's. If you had a bike crew that roamed the neighborhood then you will love it.

But no... I want to give Porsche my money and nobody is going to stop that from happening. It's either going to be Porsche or some other manufacturer of kick *** cars lol.

It's OK. I still miss my old rotary dial phone.

As to the question posed - GT4.

458. For the price well optioned .2 GT3's are going for I'd probably still have a 458...

981 spyder is a great car for mountain driving
.1 GT3
.1 GTS
I drove 570 s , i liked it but no emotion, better off with a used turbo s
probably you can get great discount on R8 v 10 plus , they over produced them and a bunch just sitting around

I have an 05 Carrera S Manual and a 996 GT3.
GT3 I'm keeping forever. It's pretty special.
I am waiting to hear if I can secure an allocation for a new GT3 manual.
I look at the Carrera S and it's still a pretty great, well equipped, car I ordered new that I don't drive nearly often enough. Is there sense even buying the new GT3 for the incremental gain in power/driving experience while I lighten my wallet by a big amount of $?
If I get one, I suspect I will as I had tried for an R.
Don't settle unless you get exactly what you want, whenever that may be.

^lol studgarden. But only C172 NA stick, no vacuum cleaner SR22T nonsense.

OP: If you are a long term holder (9 years, congrats), you can hold out for another 6-10 months to get a better picture of next wave(?) of 991.2 GT3 allocations and respective 2nd hand market. If .2 6spd doesn't pan out for you, then 14'-15' 458 prices will have only come closer to your budget. I'd just let the itch pass, see how you feel in a few months going into the winter slow down.

Drove my 458 for the first time in a while this weekend...it's so freaking awesome and soooooooooooooo much better than a GT3.

You'd be insane not to go 458 with those other options.

How does it compare to a 488? I ask because I prefer the new body style but I’d rather get a NA
