Default Can we ban "value threads"

Can we ban the never ending topics that are about the value of GT cars, depreciation, should I buy X car or Y car because I'm scared the value of X might drop more than Y, etc etc?

Can we create a separate sub forum on that stuff?

I've never been on a car forum so obsessed with value this value that.

Do you know well the threads can't be banned unless they are overly insulting to someone or have a naked bobble head doll. However, I starting this one we have in advertently fueled the fire for the conversation… Best thing to do is just ignore them and not participate.

Rennlist has gone downhill since it was bought out by Internet Brands. My opinion. Mike

Could just be that the timing was coincidental but not causal? Society has changed with the advent of low interest rates and free money where people living above their means, and mortgaging their life has led them to treat objects as something to venerate instead of something to use.

The above demonstrates a level of snobbery that may qualify you to move on to a Ferrari or Bugatti.

OP is right, though, too much talk about market for GT Porsches and not enough about driving them.

Speaking of the latter, any Porsche GT3 RLers in Oahu, Hawaii? Visiting this week (for the first time since being a Porsche GT car owner) and thinking about moving here someday. But now I'm remembering that despite the beautiful coastal scenery, one virtually never cracks 60mph here except for on the H1/H2/H3 interstates that one can't call driver's roads. So, where does one go to enjoy driving a Porsche GT car here?

I've donated to RL because I believed in this website. Since IB took over - it's a plastic place. I can honestly say I have developed great friendships prior but after IB acquisition- zero!!! Very negative now. Mike

They should just make a Value Megathread and merge all value discussions into it. Simple solution.

Hmmm - This thread made me wonder...

...what my car is worth

from a "Water Cooled Technical Discussion Areas" perspective.

How much value would that create?

I have inadvertently taken my new RS to the track on several occasions. This required me to remove the window sticker for better visibility. While quite enjoyable, I fear that I may have ruined the value of my RS. Should I be concerned? Thanks in advance.

You'll have to sell it at MSRP now

I was actually thinking about the same.
Creating a subforum for technical stuff only would be sufficient.

So at least some people would not need to filter value, bolsters, sofas, PTS, touring and other BS all the time willing to source some good topics.
