You don't have significant assetsBusiness, cars, home....what is "significant"? A building in Manhattan? Small country?

You must have significant leverage...cuts both ways.

The guy who bought it wasn't local. Pro race car driver. I'm guessing he had very specific requirements and wanted brand new, because there are a number of lightly used ones in similar spec out there for less.

Nope. As I said above, pro race car driver, I'm sure very knowledgeable about what he was buying.

I think his point was, in your example, anyone with significant assets is not better off with a small income decline and a big asset decline. The people who will benefit the most in your example are those who liquidated assets ahead of the decline and can then buy in cheaper.

I wouldn't say 40 or so RSs for sale nationally qualifies as a "glut".

There are as many 488s for sale so I guess there is a "glut" on those too.

Between Champion in Pompano Florida and Porsche West Broward, I would say

10 GT3 RS 991.1
10 GT3 991.1
Maybe 4 997.2 RS

1 991.2 RS at Braman in West Palm
1 GT3 991.1. ". "

2 991.2 GT3 collection Miami

And another 7 cars and various other dealers and private individuals.

So in just South East Florida alone about 30 cars for sale.

Florida is a big market for big $$$ cars. Alot of big $$$ and fake big $$$ in Flordia. You will find alot of big $$$ cars there including but not lmited to Lambos, Ferrari's, AMG's, Maybachs etc.. etc.. in Florida. Just like California. No big surprise there. Go to Oklahoma and see how many RS's you find.

Champion Porsche is I believe the largest in the country. Alot of Florida dealers buy out of state cars and bring them in for sale. Big market there for big $$$ cars.

After Florida that leaves about 15 991RS's over the rest of the country.

You want "glut"????....count the number of GT350's for sale. I think last I looked it was around 800.

If you are looking for less that 10 cars for sale examples might be the R or even the 987 Spyder. I've got one of them...

Cars.com shows 76 RS for sale. First 48 listed are 991 RS.

Edit - 8 more 991 RS on second page, price not listed. So, 56 available.

30 RS fs here in Canada (over half are in Ontario). Cars have been sitting on dealer lots for almost a year now and don't look to be moving.. .2 GT3 announcement definitely had impact on RS pricing here.

They are convinced they can get close to USD equivalent money as the US vin cars are trading. Maybe they export a few that way with a small discount but eventually they have to come to grips with the fact that their local market just isn't as strong.

Sad that all these cars sit there, probably not SPECced by customers, and just wasting valuable warranty time… All for some misplaced/mispriced greedy decisions

It truly is strange that they started to adopt this behavior within the past few years.. Many supercars to be had for the prices they seek for an RS.

They will sit until the next downturn, at which point there will be a fire sale..

Wouldn't say 30 for sale in the entire country of Canada is alot of cars. At least not to me.

Nor is 50 or so for sale here in U.S. alot in my book. Not a "glut" to me.

Priciing affects of the "new latest and greatest" will wane in time as as nice as it is it is a "GT3" not an "RS". Further, as ADMs of $25K+ start appearing RS prices will climb imho.

Still seeing strong pricing on RS's here.
