McLaren Success

Very interesting car. I would hope for two things
1. Official Ring time, just for a change. It would be interesting to compare against GT2TS; not holding my breath
2. Given that they are using the Senna name, that part of the revenues go to the Senna Foundation in Brazil, that does a lot of work to support children in need there. Maybe this is the case already.

I expected the 720s LT version to have similar specs, they already do pretty much 800hp from the factory and at most 1200 dry (the 720s weighs 1260 dry). The only real 'exciting' thing is the aero.
To be honest, it doesn't look like anything I had imagined. But I guess it's nice.
Chassis-wise they are pushing significantly indeed.

Didn't read any posts in here but I Just got back from the McLaren dealer and I must say that I was very impressed.
I always told myself "Lambo next" but I may have to reconsider. The McLaren success is real. They also had 1 of 8 Centenarios in the continent. I was blinded with beauty.

So much about the concept is right with this car - the price, the power, the weight, the non-hybrid drivetrain. But the looks undermine it all. Using the greatest F1 name (IMO) on a car that is so ungainly in appearance seems a shame. Bet it will drive just great though.

Doesn't look great to me in pics, but maybe better in real life. I presume that the performance will be immense, and it was surely quite an engineering exercise. I hope they make money on it which helps them continue to offer nice cars under $200K.

Really curious and please don't take it the wrong way, but why would you want to get this one?

Just a tough crowd there is used to evolutionary changes vs revolutionary. The design ethos is 100% purposeful, which is awesome. This looks like a LMP car and the 720s is a sculptured GT masterpiece.

*THAN a P1GTR.
Amazing specs and that kind of downforce requires some Fugliness but GOOD LORD! That is some special kinda ugly. This coming from the biggest McLaren/Honda/Senna Fanboi on this forum.

Its....incredibly ugly. It's performance is neat, I guess? But, it's unusable except on a track. I guess at this age I don't give a s**t about these pointless "look at me" hyper cars. I suppose it's fun for the Middle East oil money and insecure folks.
