Does anyone else find it fascinating that many photos on the thread show us owners who have thousands of dollars and hours of spare time to fit rims, brakes, exhausts and suspension mods but can't find the $4 and fifteen minutes it takes to repair their top elastics?
If you're referring to mine in the pic above, it literally just happened for the first time when I put the top up for the pic today...it's already fixed (add that to the list of what I did today). But, I'm sure I, as well as others here, appreciate the passive-aggressive comment... 🙄
Those GT4-rep wheels look great! I've been waiting to see what they looked like on a 987. The specs are super close to the factory Cayman R wheels. Nicely done! Where'd you source them from?

Thanks!
Purchased through brooksmotos_wheels/e-Bay seller (online store)
10/10 would buy from him again based on experience as of now.
Lead time was a bit longer than ordering from a domestic shop but seller was upfront about the delivery timeline and my order arrived about a week ahead of the early-side of the quoted delivery window. I have no issues with this.
Seller answered all my questions; communications were good.
Some people, myself included, may be skeptical of "Made in China" wheels. In full disclosure, not my preference either, but I don't plan to track this car and, in so much as I can tell upon initial receipt, build quality seems very high. I researched others who purchased from this buyer a few years ago and found no reported issues. Seems very low risk.
I didn't weigh the wheels, but they felt lighter than my OEM Lobster Claws. UPS shipping weight for each box says 13KG/~28 lbs... which includes box/packaging (they were packaged very well).
I added this ‘06 S to the garage to go with my wife’s ‘13 Cayenne GTS. It has all the 987 things to address, but it generally seems like a great driver. Lots of updates to come, I’m sure.
New starter (no more start-up squeal), new serpentine belt, all rollers, and tensioner.
Seems a tad quieter behind me now. Placebo or real? Who knows. Belt good for another 60k, starter good for another 18 years?
Alignment done too. This car drives so well, day in and day out. I remain quite pleased with it.
Also replaced gas cap and tether (tether broke) and ignition key surround (PO scratched it up quite a bit). Easy to find replacement in Sea Blue (thank you Porsche parts folks).

Installed the door sill cover on the passenger side and bought a new old stock (2018) door sill umbrella from ebay seller in Japan. Old umbrella was slight bent from a windy day and the rubber on the handle was completely delaminated and turned into black goo.

I got a red '07 in 2016 and it has provided a platform for almost limitless sorting and tweaking. Mechanically it's been pretty perfect except for the floppy door handle and a few other odds and ends.
Today I fixed a couple of interior bits on the car I picked up last week.
The sunvisor mirror covers disintegrated when I touched them, got replacement doors and installed them. Cheap from eBay fitment is...okay. The doors open and close and turn on the light so that's what counts.
The bottom of the bezel on the far left AC vent was broken, so I got a used one that was complete. Had to destroy the old one to remove it.
