The 987.1 had the secondary cats in the muffler inlets, the 987.2 did not.....all 4 cats were in the manifolds.
So if you have no cats in the manifolds, you're catless on a 987.2.
Could be and i have to use a black electrical tape to remedy the CEL forever, lol
next it to take her to DE's @ NJMP
Spent the week after an autox getting the car cleaned up for our yearly P-club Concours event. LOT OF WORK!!! but it looks fantastic! Unfortunately I didn't get a trophy. There were six cars in my class, mine was the oldest and hardest driven. But, I'm happy with how it looks now!
Started the 'wake-up' process from winter hibernation today..
Recently picked up a new air filter and cabin air filter - so that was the task. I also haven't had the engine cover off in quite some time, and was surprised at how clean it was under there.
While I was changing the cabin air filter, I noticed a rubber line that isn't connected to anything. Anyone know what that is (see photo)? I couldn't see anything obvious for it to plug on to.
Just need to get the insurance and registration updated and then it's time to hit the road. I'm planning a road trip to Arizona next month (from Central Alberta)... so that's going to epic!!
I believe that the tube in above pic is the battery vent tube.
Chased a couple of motorbikes up a mountain road.
A road I’ve ridden more than I driven.
They were setting an evil pace on the open sections. Really, ahem, “let the FSI 3.8 off the leash” a few times!!
I got waved past when it tightened up.
Ditto... as well as the wave past, I got the 'see ya, thanks for the fun...' wave too.

A common question it seems, and for completeness here's it installed and the blanking plug for the alternate side installation...

I need to pop that plastic off yet. I'll check it today. I got a new battery installed when I bought the car (installed by the dealer) - and I'm assuming it's a sealed unit. But I'll check..
I had the A/C checked and refilled. Recently it began giving that strange blowing sound and yes... there was not much gas left in the system... only 350gr. So the shop refilled it and there was no sign of leakage with UV ink. I hope that the gas simply evaporated during the years.
Take home massage... er... message is that the noisy A/C system may mean that the compressor runs low on oil and needs service soon.
@2swoosh is this for Thunderbolt? I was at Lightning a few weeks ago and my friends and I intend to attend T'bolt. We should meet in person.

Interesting that you have three Spyders. I bought an Aqua Blue Matelic 987.2 Spyder out of Honalulu this year. Did you ever see it? The tag number was “FIN”

After I departed the errand where a car circled it, I drove to the grocery. With windows down, a lady crossing in front turned her head to say, "that's a beautiful car." It and my 3 Spyders are about the only Porsches of 11 I've owned which would receive compliments. Well, maybe my 2017 Targa S too, but that was my wife's car now replaced with a Range Rover which I actually like better.
I installed some sweet goodies from Exclusive Options in Oakland CA. I highly recommend them. Tell them Bert sent you and they will give you something special, nothing. Great people.
I put my side stripes back on (that was fun), and I removed really bad decisions for about 6 hours!! I can’t feel my finger tips anymore. The previous owner must’ve hated me…lol

The NNJR Thunderbolt HPDE that I'm going to is on May 24th & 25th. Not this time around, unfortunately.
