I didn’t want to remove the support panel to drill the hole as it may require an alignment of the rear suspension and replacement of some of the bolts that are torque to yield bolts. The newer pans for the 718’s have the holes but it is easier and cheaper to drill the two holes in the existing panel.

Drilled holes in existing panel
What Jim said^^. W/o removing the panel the options are a right angle drill or you can get an idea on where to drill from below using a c-clamp, then w/ the same process, start w/ a pilot hole.

Very nice!! Did you go to a body shop or a detailer for the full paint correction?

I took it to a detailer I have used before. Took a few days but it was worth it!

I did the same over last week. They used a self healing graphine ceramic coat. Stuff is pretty amazing.

TBotD was a bit underwhelming for me honestly, especially since you have to monitor opposing traffic diligently. Evidently no one pays lane discipline any mind lo.
Did you happen to make it over to KY and hit the Slayer or Appalachian Autobahn? Great roads!

So, exactly what is "The Back of the Dragon"? Sounds like a marketing ruse to me...

It's a road from Marion, VA to Tazwell, VA. There are a number of Dragon roads in the Appalachian-ish region. Head, Back, Tail. There may be more, iirc. It's been around for years, but recently they modeled it after the ToD with photographers and whatnot. They did add a brewery at the store, which is nice, but not a great mix with spirited driving lol.

Went to the Checkeditout Chicago car show yesterday. https://checkeditout.cc/ Almost 350 cars were featured at this exclusively Porsche event. Everything from a 914 to a 918, there's something for everyone here. This is put together by a fellow RL member every year as a local charity fundraiser. Good time spent with many, many local Porschephiles. Here's a few highlights.

Replaced mine and buddy's headlight lenses. I have a Cayman S so I also did black out mod on my trim like on the GTS and GT4. His is a GTS so it's already painted black.
