Thanks for your input. I've got the triple-squares, so what's left is to rationalize the cost of a new wheel. BTW, is the wheel you've pictured fatter than the standard Porschemaster wheel?

Mine is the same thickness as stock. I think it looks thicker in the picture.

Thanks in advance for your response.
That is who I obtained this from.

Installation is pretty straight forward. I did get an airbag light, as I don't think the clip pushed all the way in (had a rather firm 'click' that I was concerned about breaking it). So I needed to clear the error light with PIWIS (may have gone out on its own over time). Don't believe I would have received this if I pushed it all the way in the first time.

All the buttons work - same as they do on the multifunction wheel.

Owning several VW's and Audi's - I don't think I even consider use of triple squares as relevant anymore. But it is what I used...

Personally, thought it was worth the cost of the wheel. Just makes the inside feel more modern.

Not sure why but I'm not getting any notification's.

If this helps. I help out at 2 independent shops. One does body and mechanical and the other is a full performance build. I have 45 years of Porsche experience and wrench nearly everyday. My son is a service advisor at a Porsche dealership so he sees lots of these. We have a rather large sample group and although some claim they didn't run the tank low the majority eventually confess to it. I personally don't run my cars below 1/5 of tank for casual back road burning or 1/4 tank on track if it can be helped. The tank has to be close to scavenging the fuel for this to happen. There might be other causes but this is one of the issues that we are fairly confident is the cause of the problem.

Three guesses on what I received last week, and your first two guesses don't count. This is truly becoming odd (and, I really need to clean my floor).

Looks great! I see you have sport chrono. I have exact same steering wheel and sport chrono as well. I want to do the same swap but have been uncertain regarding which steering wheel would be the right one. The newer one with sport chrono has a small wheel on it. Was yours just plug and play and did you have to reprogram anything? Can you please post the part number of the parts you used? thank you!!

The 981 doesn't have the mode selector round ****, only the 718. So this was a total plug and play job. Check his web site. This is the cheapest wheel be sells. $950. And it came quickly from CA to NY

Bought one! I’ve had 4x 911s over the years and stupidly sold my 997.2 last year. Was looking for a replacement but my daughter came across this one this morning. Didn’t know I was buying a car today. Decided it was time to try a mid engine car.

‘16 Carmine Red GTS mt with 15k km on it.
