Hello All!
Hello,
I've decided to jump on the bandwagon and join rennlist, as I have noticed a very active front engined community. I hope to learn as much as I can and share my experiences with you all as well. I picked up my car last may from Springfield IL, and have been slowly working on and fixing all of the small problems and issues along the way. The biggest issue I've had thus far is my starter motor getting fried one day from old wires. Here's a few pics of my car, I hope you all like it!

Thanks for the warm welcome, I appreciate it. Gene, yes it is early, a '92, I believe its the 115th US chassis if I decoded my vin correctly (WP0AA2966NS820115). Its been a fun experience thus far. When I bought the car, it hadn't been cleaned all too well, lots of buildup, leaves behind the battery, fuse area and in and around the headlight buckets that hadn't been removed, washed and waxed improperly etc, but with a bit of elbow grease shes where she is now. I think I'm the 4th or 5th owner, haven't looked into a vehicle history report; the car was repainted completely at some point. 2 owners ago the car was used as a track and auto cross car so that is when I was surmising it took place, though it could've happened earlier I suppose.

Welcome and very nice. I see the car is a 92 (very good Aaron, you get a star for the day!).
If you would like production stats on your car post the last 3 digits of the VIN.
If you would like to join the PCA 968 register just send me an email at jeffery.coe@snet.net and we'll get you signed up.
Good luck.
Jeff

Jeff, my last 3 digits of my vin are 115; I will be sure to send you a message to join the register, I don't plan on letting this car go any time soon. I was on the register site before, is being in PCA still a requirement? I'm planning on joining in the next month or so.
Josh, thanks, I have a couple of the blanks myself but I accidentally pushed it out while I was detailing and just have been too lazy to put it back in
Is there a good way to put one back in, or do I have to take off the center console? Also, I saw your car for sale about a month or two after I bought mine, what a sweet looking car and I love the Fiskes.
Paul, have you been to any of the PCA Chicago cars and coffees? I was parked behind a red 968 at one of them.
Thanks all!

1 of 594 A1 Black coupes (most popular color on coupe)
1 of 316 A1 Black coupes paired with a black interior (most popular combo)

LT - partial leather in black
437/438 - dual full power (8-way) seats

Comments: Your car has an October 1991 build (2nd month of production) and has the early production features including the recessed hood badge and larger, edged rear emblem. Porsche actually held the first 60 VINs of each model series and year for internal use so the first one is #61. That is how your car is #55.
