That's a cool one, too bad. Nothing fancy from the option list but it is one of the very last 968s produced. It is #2,223 of 2,234. October 1994 build date so it is actually one of the true and very rare 1995s that was actually produced in the 1995 model year (non-718 car). Of the 220 F8 NA Midnight blue coupes produced it was the last one.

wow, from those small pics the damage doesn't look that substantial, amazing how little it takes to total one right now with current values. Makes me not wanna take mine outta da garage!!

At this point, a broken timing belt repair estimate can "total" a 968 because the cost of the repair can outrun the value or the owners budget. I'm not saying that a complete top end is $18,000 but I am saying that a ruined head can lead to a car being parted etc.

I got lucky once, my timing belt went but I was idling at a stoplight, no damage.
