Ordered a radiator cap which was pretty much the only feedback from the car's inspection (doesn't hold pressure as well as new) and also ordered driver side visor to replace, its spring is kinda weak and it's flapping when it's not hooked. Pelican parts need to order it from Germany.

Regarding the visor the PET for the 968 shows the end bearing piece 944-731-437-00-01C, L and 438-00-01C, R are available for less than $12 each. I have not tried them but think if these are replaced the visor will work correctly without replacing the whole thing.

I the past couple of days I have installed a new luggage cover in the hatch, replaced the door seals and replaced the in gas tank fuel gauge sending unit.
hen I bought my 968 5 years ago it was without its luggage cover. I recently bought a hatch luggage cover on E Bay. It was complete but so dry rotten that the fabric fell apart in my hands. The fittings were all in good condition. A friend helped met replace the fabric etc. and did all the measuring and sowing. I now have a good as new cover to keep away the prying eyes away from our luggage when we go on road trips. Here is a pic of the new cover: It looks really good. We changed the leather tabs to add a little more colour among all the black and grey.
The replacement door seals seem to cut down on the wind noise at interstate speed that irritated me. I thought the noise was caused by the cabriolet windshield that a previous owner installed on my coupe. Now I think that the old seals allowed wind to be sucked between the door seals and the door frames.
Lastly I replaced the defective in gas tank fuel gauge sending unit that stopped working properly last year.
Today I replaced my rattling steering shaft. It took me a while until I found the reason of the rattling at the left hand side, when driving over bumps. Well, the old steering shaft with around 150.000mls had really loose joints.

The annoying rattle has been fixed.
I've cooked one of those on RHD cars because of the proximity to the exhaust manifold. I have twice in 13 yrs failed a 6 monthly roadworthiness check, called a warrant of fitness here in NZ, because of a steering shaft with excessive play in the union joints. First time I was able to manipulate the play out. The second time I had to replace the shaft.
@H.F.B. how is your Ti exhaust going? Did you notice any difference in loss of weight or performance? Do you have any videos of the sound?
Yes, the Ti exhaust definitely relieves the engine's breathing. It revs much more easier, no doubt about it. And I notice a gain in performance. This complete straight through absorption silencer allows the exhaust gasses to pass virtually unimpeded through the perforated pipe. Therefore it's loud, on the long run too loud in my opinion. So I made some more mods on my stock exhaust; completely removed the restrictor plate in the resonator and swapped the 400cpsi cat for a 200cpsi cat, which all in all makes the stock exhaust pretty nice sounding. Will post some more info about that soon.
My rubber pad on the brake pedal wore through and fell off. I replaced both and went did a drive with my new Puma/Sparco Speedcats. Only got caught out by the extra stiction a couple of times. Lol

If you want to save your garage space, I will do you a favor and purchase that titanium exhaust from you. I’m serious. Send me a PM.
What is the “db eater”? I think it sounds better with it.

Yes, they can modfiy it. No problem at all. But bear in mind, this was a pure enthusiast's project, were money was no consideration. This part is unique, probably the only one on this planet. So if you consider to let them build another custom part, be aware, they won't match the price of Billy Goat.

I have a Cargraphic NGT exhaust on my 944 S2. They make one for the 968. Here in the US you can buy it at Vivid Racing. Not cheap, but very, very nice and the 100 cell CAT definitely is free flowing, yet easily passed emission tests here in Washington State. Sounds great when revved, but docile around town, and no droning or other weird sounds. Highly recommended if you can afford it.
I actually did this over a few days, but I think it counts. Some of you may appreciate this:
Various WYAIT parts
There was rust and oxidation to various degrees and, since I have things apart, I decided to try and fix things forever.
For those interested this is Prismatic Powder Subtle Gold, with a Clear Vision topcoat. My technique, or gun, or setup, or something, is not optimal, so you can see some areas that are not as well covered but I hope that the worst of it is hidden by other components in the car.
