Final prep for her first track day since 2019. She's going to Palmer on Sunday. It's been a long year (rebuilt engine) and a busy few months (all the details of putting a race car back together)

This weekend I washed off all the old rubber marks, polished and waxed, cleaned out the interior and the glass, and gave her a final inspection of belts and bolts and fluids, etc. She only looks this good once a year, typically before the first track outing. I've been looking at the yellow that the prior owner did and I keep thinking about changing it. Suggestions? Any ideas are on the table. Maybe all the sticker should be removed giving a blank canvas? What goes with the red folks?

I though loose items were supposed to go under the cargo net.

Cheers

Has anyone recently asked Travis at Rennbay if he ill do a run of 944S2/968 front and rear camshaft gear covers? My mechanic told me last time my car was serviced that my oem mg one is starting to distort.

When replacing it, is it advisable to use new hardware? is the seal the one that people have issues with leaking?

Coolant and brake fluid time. Blowing the dead things out of the condenser from the back side.

Going to be a hot summer.

Spoke to Travis several months ago about getting a rear camshaft cover/housing and he indicated that the company that had his molds etc.... had gone out of business without communication and he lost his molds and everything. Probably not making again unless something extraordinary happens. On the good side found out that Porsche is now making them in aluminum and they are reasonably affordable and you can buy just the rear half. 944-105-179-10 $ 358.00 at Delaware Porsche

Thanks John. That's very disappointing for Travis though.
