Certainly worth a shot! My trunk side pieces are ok except for the twill binding. I'm going to get a roll of it and try to replace.

Good luck! I’ve been 100 pc focussed on the mechanical side for for over a year but in time will get to look at aesthetic stuff,

Good luck to you too! My mechanical is good for now fortunately. I've got some electrical gremlins I will have to chase - hoping it's a loose connection or bad ground. Car is 100% driveable so I'm doing cosmetic while weather is good!!

Always something to do with these gems no?!

It will go on for my lifetime. I got to drive it after 16 months on stands yesterday, it’s all that matters. Summer day, 25 year old car. Looking at the world from a different perspective than the daily drivers out there

I know I'm preaching to the choir, but these cars are just plain fun to drive. Glad you got to take a drive - 16 months is a loooong time.

It was my daily driver for 5 years, finishing about 2010, I was spoiled by that and took it for granted. Learned stuff about that recently

That is so true! My electrical gremlin to chase is interior lights don't come on when doors are opened. Power door locks are also not functioning. Door lock motors are tested good, actual led door lock ***** are new, door pin switches are new, bulbs are good, wiring tests out ok. So my best guess in tracing the wiring diagrams is the alarm module as the culprit. And there isn't any way for me to test that.

At some point in the future, will have to take the rear glass out so that I can get the tabs for the hatch wiper welded back to the frame from where a misguided prior owner broke them off. This werr

Current project is replacing the fuel strainer, line to pump and return line to fuel sender. Lines are in, just waiting on hardware to come back from plating.

That will be a next year or later type project. Want to get the car off the jack stands and drive it some. It has been interesting to correct mistakes made in the past. I will post back when I get the hardware back. Should be some nice bling!

Yup, trying to repair the driver door handle on my 944 (968 handles) because of same thing. The tab on the inside of the handle broke. Using JB Weld to see if that can fix the handle without having to buy a new one and get it painted.

968 is still waiting on parts to get it back together.

All very non original 😀. Lindsay Racing, US. Only supplier in the world as far as I can tell! They also do the engine breather, brake booster and idle control valve hoses separately from the coolant set I think. I improvised those as I hadn’t ordered the extras.
