No I'm not. Are you?
Seems Trevor had some insight.

Yuck, 968owner does not realize what a sensitive group we 968ers are and that sarcastic jokes don't really work here. I'm glad he set things straight.

Pat,
Yet another reason (prevent sarcastic jokes) for you to get a 968 again soon.

Jeff

Cheers Jeff!
You never know, I may have one again sooner than later.
I regularly search for the next one.
I had enquired about samlukes car but was a few weeks to late.

I saw Petes old '95 Polar Silver 030 coupe with scripted sport seats at the celebration and wish I was in a position to buy that car.

I still don't understand the motivation for 968owner's post; since no one at the event apparently seemed to care, why try to stir the pot when it's empty?

968owners motivation may have been to get a rise out of people and start the bickering btwn those agreeing with him & those defending Pat and welcoming any 968 enthusiast to the event. This backfired. Alternatively, this could have been exactly what he wanted...us to unite with one common interest....in which case it was a success. Either way, i think he/she will remain anonymous.

No I didn't register as 968owner or make that post, just saw plenty of shots being taken and knew it wasn't serious. I'm ready to bury the hatchet that's for sure.

It's a shame I was at the blunt end of a bad joke (or good if people heed the subject).
I really can't say how truely touched I am by everyone standing by my side. It really means allot to me.

Thank you!!!

Damien when Raj and yourself are ready to meet for a beer or a cup of coffee and pie you know how to get in touch. I think it's a shame you feel "it's status quo on everything else". Seems you are preventing true harmony in the community holding on to old feelings.

What really sucks is, today should not have been about "me" but all of you.
I logged in this morning just wanting to see more 968 pictures and hear what a great time everyone had.

Now, someone please, post more pics.
I'm preventing true harmony in the community holding onto old feelings? Just Raj and I? 99% of my old feelings are positive, informative, cross oceans, joyful-the other 1% of people who lack ethics, attack me personally, froth at their mouths, are intellectually dishonest-well, if Iever saw any change in that I might say Kumbiyah. I've seen no change in their status quo, so it's unlikely mine will either.

I am continually amazed at the amount of drama that follows 968 ownership. Some slights obviously aren't gong to be forgiven by either side but it would be nice to move forward, rather than continually looking back.

Raj and Damian were hardly the cause of all this. I don't recall either of them ever posting anonymously.

Regards,

Thanks Scott. Some of the people who weren't at .net at the beginning don't know we used to have a terrific community with none of this nonsense.

Well, regardless of whatever it may do to my "standing" at the other site (I am assuming I am still banned... lol), I am proud to stand up and say that you and Raj are my friends. The same goes for most of the other folks that I have encountered that own 968's, I've had very few bad encounters over the years.

Regards,

What got you banned? And agreed, the good eggs far outnumber the bad apples in 968 world.

Rather than start this thread down an "us vs them" path, the only thing I will say is that I suspect it was for comments I have made here in suport of Rennlist vendors, and I am asking that we redirect the conversation towards the positive aspect of THIS thread, which is that Pat received the kind of support here that I would expect from Rennlist.
