Just wanted to mention it. Nothing worse than getting road debris in there and shortening the life of the new rollers

Agreed.
As far as debris is concerned, these belt covers aren't exactly water or air tight. There are a lot of open sections in the back cover where all the elements can get in.

Another opening won't help that though

Update: 4/23/2008
The transmission is in the car. I could not get my transmission back in time so I had to "borrow" a friends car. I removed his transmission and installed it in my car last night. I was working until 1am trying to get everything put together.
I should be able to do some shake down runs and check all systems. Keeping my fingers crossed. I am very tired and my whole body hurts. I hope it was all worth it and I can make it to hershey.
Pray for me.

The car is running great. So far so good. I am putting it back up on stands to check everything again. Took her for a 3 mile ride and everything felt normal. All temps are where they need to be. Heater is blowing hot air.
Need to adjust tie rods since I swapped them and the steering is off center.
Might add a bit more negative camber while I have her up.
If all looks dry under, I will install the belly pan and should be all set mechanically.
Regards.

Update: 4/26/2008
The car ran flawlessly. I had no issues what so ever and driving it to Hershey was great fun. Now its time to pull my friend's transaxle out of the car and put mine in when it gets back.
I am very pleased with the end results. Some of you who have been checking this thread were surprised to see the car at Hershey. In the end, it all came together.
Lack of sleep and long hrs were all worth it!
Regards.
Raj
