Its at a dealership so maybe it will be around for the next 6 months or so.
If it is, I'll buy it. That price though. Sheesh.

Typical dealership BS.
As an ex-carsalesman I already know the deal.
Problem is that I would have to negotiate over the phone sight unseen.

I just noticed that all their cars have tinted windows and are either silver or black.
Whats up with that?

Whooo hooo.
My calf which has been mostly numb is comming back. Once I regain motor function of it, driving a stick will be possible.
Also my car will be off evidence hold tomorrow so I will be seeing it again.

That's great! Well...atleast the part about your calf. I don't know how many more times I could handle seeing the car.

If you can slip it into your pocket without the CHP seeing, can you grab me the 3.0L motor? Well at least the crank.

OMG, this is turning into a big disaster for you. Whatever you do, don't post any of this stuff on a public forum. Too much evidence in a public domain. Also, get a good attorney.

+1 on getting a good attorney. What are they accusing you of?

The problem is that the DA has a huge amount of evidence against me.
I have to go to court and I'm probably going to loose my licence.
Unfortunatly I have been informed that if I plea guilty I will have to serve 1 year in the county jail.
All I can say is WTF?
Welcome to the real world where we have to take responsibility for our actions. It's too bad you have to be experiencing this at such a young age, but I hope you will learn from this. Good luck.

Jail for a car wreck?? I could see losing your license if they estimated you were driving 100 miles over the speed limit, and if you blew a Hilton-esque .20 and a passenger was hurt, but no damage to anyone other than yourself and they want you to plead guilty to what and get a year in the joint? What does the DA want you to cop to?? Your insurance will make the state utility pole repair, so I don't see where they want to host you (at great expense to the state) for 12 months??

Swerving to miss animals in the road is dangerous. If it's cat or raccoon, no huge deal, but a larger animal can kill you if it comes through the windshield. I've had three friends die this way. 2 hit horses and one an elk. My boss hit a deer not long ago an it did over $3K worth of damage to his pickup truck, then ran away. He took a gun and trailed it in the snow to "finish putting it out of its pain" but two miles later and one mating with a doe (the buck..not my boss), he figured the deer was fine. But not the pickup. Moral of the story, a large animal hit doesn't always kill the animal but can raise heck with your rig. Doesn't matter the size of the critter if you accidently run off the road trying to miss it.

It seems there is more to this story than is being revealed by Richard.

Care to enlighten everyone as to why it is being pursued as a criminal investigation by the DA, Rich?
