sounds great!

Everyones using turbo or GT3 exhausts for builds these days. What’s the main reason? Weight, sounds, readily available? Would love to hear more on the decision

The 991 turbo and gt3 mufflers are fairly similar internally. They are basically baffles with near no restrictions (do a search for the cutaway of a 997 GT3 muffler you'll see what I mean).
The reason we did the 991 muffler is it is dual in and dual out on the sides. The GT3 is dual in (with small holes used for quiet mode on the GT3, I would cap these on a 964) with dual out center.
I wanted side outputs.
Note though, the 991 muffler needs to be cut and narrowed, it's not a direct fit.
Plus, porsche factory parts, super durable.
And they sound good!
The exhaust on this car turned into a real project. The headers are rothsport. But I wanted heat. So BBI made custom heat boxes over the collectors. Not a small job. And, the mounting of the muffler. The connection pipes not too bad. Then, custom tips, which we did huge fat single tube cut at the angle of the bumper and flared. Looks really aggressive. I'll keep them brushed stainless.
BBI has done several of these like this, but NOT with the heat. I suspect they wouldn't do again :-)

I put grip tape on my floor boards. It is nice to keep you foot from sliding especially if wet.

I'm thinking the rubberized type vs. sandpaper type... I have aluminum floor boards in one of my other car and they are slick especially if they get a little wet.

A few things going on here... 993 booster, 993 master, RS sways, Rothsport rack bushings, custom piping for the electric cup power steering, and a custom rack brace setup. The factory had a steering rack brace that ties together the bottom 2 steering rack bolts. Well, with the setup I have, particularly the larger 993 booster, and the pre 92 rack with the different banjo connections, the brace wouldn't work. So we did something custom to tie the rack to the subframe and hopefully stiffen it up a bit.

Looking forward to hearing your report on those steering rack braces. They look proper. Didn't care to swap in a quicker rack from a 993 with the rest of the 993 parts?
