Chassis engineer knows them well. The bilsteins are not the same level. Jrz can be finicky. Happy with kW. If there was an ohlins Kit I'd get that (not 3 way TTX for 15k). It's all in the setup.

Soooo busy with work no time for the antiques. My 89 is at the shop getting of bunch of work done and my 964 has been sitting at my other garage covered up after not driving it for 6 weeks. Well, brought it over to my house and I'm installing a proper RS blower heater bypass (replacing the rennline carbon one) and installing the Oem air box.

Will do that this evening and take for a spin.

Hey Chris nice update. I have the bypass sitting in my garage for weeks and have been meaning to throw it on. Did you use the rubber connecting piece from the blower assembly and just connect the bottom part of it using the hose clamps? I took a minute to look at it but got interrupted.

My setup is different. There is a grommet type insert that goes into the heater hole, that the duct slips into, with a single host clamp. Mine is exactly like the below. Alignment is good to the top fan shroud.

that connection looks kind of like a g-body connection?

Are you planning on running a hose to the distributor?

#10 is the resistor needed to allow the interior fan to blow correctly, sometimes when this is disconnected you don't get full speed on your interior fan.

#12 is an air temp sensor.

Are you referring to the lower connection? If you are, I was wondering why the plugs at the distributor were snug up right against this hot piece of metal. I hope it isn't a g-body connection since I had a shop recently powder coat the engine tin... Now I'm wondering if I need to order the rubber seal.

Any chance you'll be by Joey's this week? I'm headed there Thursday & Friday. This is Anthony btw, I met you there a few months ago when Joey moved into the new place.

Already there. Heater tube to a T that goes to lens and distributor.

you have the rsa right?

Few questions:
--the pic you posted, is that with your heater blower removed?
--When removed, you should have a gasket #7
--If not, then you have a non-oem connection with that slip joint and 2 o-rings. That connection is similar to my 89, but in the end, probably works fine.
--The issue most likely is that without the slip gasket #7, the heater pipe is probably too high up and the angle to the fan shroud will be off

also, i installed the bypass a while back, it's in this thread. you do need to wire up a jumper to allow the heater fans to work right. Otherwise only high will work. this is because the sensor and resistor are missing from the bypass pipe.

Thanks for the info. That seems easier than drilling another hole in bypass pipe.

yep. I've got the rsa.

This pic is with the heater blower removed. I attempted to fit the connector with the two hose clamps but it won't fit over the lower metal piece. Maybe I'll order #7 and try to look at someone else's setup as well.

I couldnt find the lower metal part I have pictured in the PET catalog. Maybe that explains a lot!
