^^^ Cool info. Thx! I'm sure there are other subtleties in the picture that I'm not sure of, the pics do not represent an aligned state, only 'installed'.

Car is finishing chassis setup today, alignment, final torquing, drive, bed brakes, set initial damper settings, set down, etc. Also need to tidy up a few things, installing 993 coils, finishing the heater blower delete, putting a few interior pieces back in.

Unfortunately one of my rear tires has a very, very small (like 4 weeks to lose pressure) leak at the bead between the rim/tire so it may have had a bead torn during mounting (which would be surprising, I've had dozens and dozens of tires mounted by these guys... ), so need to have that looked at. I bought another tire which will arrive today in case it is torn...

So with luck should be able to drive today, maybe hit some canyons!

Another question. On the KW CS set you're running, is it the set for the 964 Carrera 2 (35271711), 964 Carrera RS (35271713), 993 Carrera (35271704), or are you having to run a split set with 993 front units and 964 rear units?

The "box" is a 964 c2 but the setup has been customized in several ways from Joey working with kw. I'll see if I can find what was changed beyond what I'm aware of.

You would THINK so. Unfortunately we hit a bump today. The baseline rear toe was set a slight toe out in the rear and when dialing it in finalizing the setup, it pulled the back of the wheel very close to the fender. Unfortunately to fix this properly at the ride height and setup we want will require at least -3 camber in the back which is much too high for a street car and probably a bit aggressive were this my dedicated track car on R Comps.

I knew the wheel fitment was aggressive, and talking to BBS this has worked for other customers, however I'm going to guess they were running more camber, a narrower tire like a 265, or more ride height. The fronts while aggressive, are going to work fine (its tight!!).

Regardless, BBS is being super cool about this and going to work with us to swap out the rears. We dismounted them, cleaned them up, and shipped them back today. This is one of the reasons I like to buy from top brands, the support they offer. BBS, Brembo Race Technologies, KW, ERP, and Rothsport have all been fantastic so far.

Joey (who is doing all this work) was super bummed, he's a make it work master but this wheel would just offer too much compromise for him. And BBI has been great helping me work with BBS to get this fixed.

The new setup will lose 1/2" of lip (boo!), and go to a 2" / 8" with a 51 offset (the set in the pics has a 2.5 / 7.5 rim with 43 offset). This gives us 8mm to work with and should still sit very aggressive and flush. Worst case I run a 3mm spacer. I seriously don't think it will be needed.

Based on what we've found I'd recommend the aggressive fitment only for those that want to run serious negative camber or are running a 265 rear tire. The front setup can work fine, they also have an 8" option with a 51 offset for the front. This might work for me too but I think may cause brake clearance issues.

Wheels BBS E88:
Front: 18x8.5 +48 with 0288107 centers
OLD Rear: 18x10 +43 with 0288107 centers
NEW Rear: 18x10 +51 with 0288108 centers

Tires Nitto NT01:
Front: 235/40-18
Rear: 275/35-18

Will talk with BBS in the morning and nail down the time to do the swap. Good news is they have the parts in stock. Probably going to be a week to get the new wheels, going to try and 'rush' them (and pay lol). I really want to drive the car this week!!!!

That's going to be a while but I'll take some nice shots of the stance and setup once we get the rear wheels back. Maybe alongside my RS and my 89. Family pics! lol

That's the LEAST fun way to cut weight!

P.S. We are pretty locked down on the plan for the rest of the build. My goal is to get in line at BBI and get it in there early February.

I believe my e88s are 18x10 +51 in the rear. Running 265 with room to spare at well under rs ride height
Should look great when it's done

I hate to say it but I have been saying I have tried to fit 15mm spacers with my 10 x 18 ET61 rears and 265 MSS tires. That left me with an ET of 46 and mine rub under hard cornering with -1.3 camber in the rear. Others claim they can fit ET47 without issue. I am using 7mm spacers for an ET54 with enough space on both sides.

There must be subtle differences in the tubs and some cars will accommodate a 46 offset but even with rolled flairs I know mine won't. I was surprised to see they said an ET43 would work.

I hate doing work twice but it is worth getting right. You should have no problem with the 275 on an ET 51.

No problem cutting the carbs.

I run -3 on my track car but it is too much for street driving. But I guess that depends on the roads
