The least they could do is fix the crooked smile. Nice clean original but odds are it will not sell easily at that price.

Why do you think it is so far out of line?

If RSA's are fetching nearly $200k and low mileage anything air cooled fetches big money this car is a rare item. How many 20k mile stock C2's have surfaced lately? How many true sub 100k mile cars show up for sale? I doubt they will get their price but more than likely a collector will pay them above average price for this car. Why set the bar low and have a million tire kickers? The C2 should have its day it is a great car and deserves more respect.

Well said.... and in hind sight I think I would agree with you. I see low miles RSA's being offered at silly high prices, I am not sure they're selling there.

Makes me cringe at the prices I sold cars like my old RSA, 964's and what I got for my 94 Speedster years ago.

You can't sweat it. Anyone who has been around these cars as long as us have had sellers remorse or the ones we let get away. Does sting a bit more now. I am still kicking myself for not buying my friends 94 turbo S flachbau 4 years ago for $130k. I can only imagine the taxes on the gains but would have been nice.

Talk about crazy asking prices here is one that is a bit ambitious although I heard they upped the price to $199,999. Not sure what it will sell for but I am sure they will receive offers.

I don’t sweat the bad trades I have made over the years. Believe me, as an institutional options trader, having traded on several exchanges for two decades there are plenty of other trades I regret far more than selling some cars too cheap 10 or more years ago.

My 94 Speedster was stolen from my garage in 1997. I bought it in Feb of 95 with 6k miles on it for $54k. It was stolen in Nov of 97 with 16k miles on it. At the time I was trying to sell it and the only offers I was getting were in the $30’s. My insurance company paid me $51k plus fees, so at the time I was happy. That was basically a scratch trade. Yup a 16k mile 94 Speedie is probably a $150 plus car now but just putting that cash in a reasonable fund would have done better. Hindsight is 20/20.

I think you’re probably right in that car should do somewhere in those lofty levels. The down side is it probably wont ever get used much anymore.

No affiliation. Perhaps the price is low because of the WB mod.... But this is very low, isn't it

It looks a little rough around the edges (rust, paint, carpets), however, if it is mechanically solid it seems like it is in the ballpark based on the current market. I would definitely complete a thorough PPI.

Have had PPi done on a few carerra 2 post on this thread. Everytime the place that I get the PPI done all different places have the same answer. $10 000 for tear down reseal. Is this the norm with 1990 and 1991 models?

Yes it is the same car. Eurowise listed it here before and someone from AL drove 8 hours only to report that it was not in the condition that was claimed.
