I have owned many more than in my signature and I have rarely owned any Porsche that didn't need some tweaking or personalization to suit my likes. Live and let live but in all honesty a stock 964 is lacking so much that some minor tweaks will bring out.

If some comments in anyone of these auction sites and it kills a deal other than pointing out obvious misrepresentation then maybe that is saying something about the knowledge of those bidding and how easily influenced they are. If you are going to bid on these cars at auction you better know what you are looking at and who cares what other say or feel. Otherwise you get what you get.

FYI here is a case of buying at auction and what was actually covered up by a vinyl rap.
Car looked like a 10 wrapped.
Your comments and photo highlight what can happen. I actually commented in the comments on the orange car "The best thing for a prospective buyer is to engage with the shop that did a PPI or have another one done with particular study on the left rear corner of the car. That should provide clarity." At the end of the day if the car was sound and the wrap removed, and the paint was serviceable then it would not be a bad deal all around in my naive opinion. The mileage was lowish so mechanically the car should be a pretty nice driver and then you just have to put the clouded title out of mind (until you go to sell it).

It was funny how people asked if it was wrapped or similar comments when the guards red paint kinda jumps out at you in the door jams, frunk, engine bay, etc!!!

The lack of expertise on display in BAT auction results and comments is crazy. Cars with all sorts of glaring issues that should jump out to anyone that knows what they're looking at, but the issues don't ever come up and the cars go on to sell at the very top of the market. Crazy times.

Anyone know this car or have any comments about it? I know it’s been for sale for a while, and searched the thread but couldn’t find anything.

I got banned for a while for pointing out glaring issues. Ridiculed by the masses for facts anyone bidding should be looking for. It makes no sense. But the money flows and that is what it’s all about.

You mean the one that was around $40K in the market place?

Pretty sure the ad was pulled after the seller’s mailbox was bombarded with pm’s offering to pay full price or better sight unseen.

Doesn't appear that I will be buying a coupe anytime soon.

Insane!!! Obvious poorly repaired tub, aftermarket wheels, worn seats and those speakers not to mention mileage and $129 all in. Just crazy.

It all depends on 2 swinging dix bidding at the same time, it isn't really market value.
