Sure thing. Seller is also not the easiest person to deal with so that turned me off a bit. "No one else knows more about Porsches than him" kind of thing.... As you all know, this hobby is as much about the people as it is about the cars..

Hi all, hope I am not violating any forum rules by posting this. I've put my car up for sale on BaT. Please check out the auction if you're interested or forward to someone you know who might be. Thanks!! https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...911-carrera-6/

We post BAT listings here all the time. Good luck with sale. Nice example.

I think there may be an unwritten expectation that you post here first to ideally keep the car within the community, but I could be wrong. Good luck with the auction I expect you will get what you want and more.

with BaT auctions bringing the results they are right now, i don't think offering it here first is something anyone should expect. if the community wants the car, they'll need to ante up.

with values climbing, who feels they are getting the best rates from their agreed value policies and not having issues with the company agreeing to values that we are all seeing. i'm not attempting to over-insure my vehicles, but Hagerty has started to fall behind market values recently. i haven't had an issue with this in the past with Hagerty, but they are resisting a bit more now on my requested amounts.

who has what carrier and how happy are you with them?

I am using Leland West (broker) who has me insured through xl specialty insurance company currently. I had no issue raising the value to 55k for my policy expiring in April 2022.

I will add that I also had to make a claim in 2015 on this vehicle. 30k in repairs (mostly body work, + some oil cooler gear)... my premiums were not raised as a result even though I expected them to go up. I'm currently paying $1100 for my 964 and 996 '02 C4 Cab (value 33k).

That’s because their business model is seller friendly. You have a car, you call them, they offer you wholesale, you provide proof of title, and they pay immediately and pick up the car in 48 hours. No PPI, no 20 (or 200) questions. That’s it. So this works for a lot of folks despite not getting maybe ‘market’ price for their cars but it’s a no hassle, barely any time dedicated, transaction.

Wouldn’t work for me, as I don’t mind putting in the time and get the appropriate price but for most, it works, so cannot knock them for it.

I wouldn’t touch one of their cars with a 10 foot pole.

Poignant topic. Hagerty had no problem giving me $85k agreed value on my car (125k mile 91 C2 Coupe), but they wanted $2400/year. I'm over 30, have a phenomenal credit score, and haven't had a point on my license in 5+ years. The car is getting some work done at the moment, but when it's back on the road I'll be getting some competitive quotes.
