Well to be fair I do appreciate many of your posts when you stay focused on the topic at hand, I’ll leave it at that.

Back on topic, has anyone seen this in person? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...eseal-6-a.html. RMC seems to find some great cars but their reputation precedes them which makes one questions anything they sell.

As do I with all of your posts. I'll try to stay more "focused".

I was very close to pulling the trigger on that car. It recently was RNM and then sold after in their "deal tank".

I was a little surprised the red Targa didn’t go higher to be honest, a 100k mile coupe in similar condition and color combo would have fetched high $60’s so the price delta seems to be increasing.
you shouldn’t mind Lorenzoh, he is the supposed forum bully but in reality the forum clown no one pays attention to.

I think the red targa sold for a fair price close to $54,000 all in for the buyer, it was a nice car and well represented but it’s Red and I think that color always gets a little less unless someone is looking for red in particular. As far as rarity, of course a 964 Targa is rare and their prices are steadily rising.

$70k is the high-water mark. $80k and your getting into rare collectible status for narrow body 964s. Clearly you haven’t been paying attention and it just goes to show what I’ve said before that limited production numbers do not make something “rare”. Otherwise, this would have commanded a premium since there were very few manual targas made. Basing rarity on production numbers alone only works for cars built in very low numbers, ie Mclaren F1. Not run of the mill Porsche’s produced in the tens of thousands.
I have to speak up on this one but seriously? Two years ago I helped a friend sell a comparable targa in black. Original paint, good top and some issues needing to be addressed but a solid car. We fought to get $32k for it today this same car can fetch $50k+ in a heartbeat. The focus on the Coupes has lead to people looking for other rarities and clearly the rarity of the targa is starting to be appreciated otherwise this car would still be at $38k. Why esle does a 3.6T command a premium over a 3.3T or a turbo S fetch more than a stock turbo.

It is ALL about numbers, colors, originality and condition and to say otherwise ?????

That car didn't sell on Pcarmarket. They pad their sales on the deal tank all the time.

It's still at RMC and on eBay.

Interesting reading: Some of the gents in here need to get a life. Get out and drive your 964, not the mouse and keyboard and BAT. Happy to help anyone seriously interested in any 964 offered for sale locally in Miami-Dade.

We talking this kind of mouse LOL

Found this yesterday in a 993 engine I was working on. Not pleasant and yes this is a common issue most aren't aware of.
