My wife didn't actually shut down the idea, which amazed me (she loves Tiffany so maybe the color connection got her). This car would get driven at least once a month miles be damned. I hate the idea of it getting warehoused by some uber rich old guy looking for another trophy.

I'll dump at least one of the other 964s, but just got a single post lift put in my second garage this week so I don't really need to get rid of both of them. I think three C2s would be overkill though.
The concern about not being driven enough is very valid. He's welcomed me to come up and see it, take it to get inspected, etc... probably would have to make that trip before taking the full plunge.
The way I look at it if you got the money and love the car make a deal and buy it. Life is too short. You can't lose your pants on it... Way too special of a car IMO.

It looks amazing with the black inserts. Allows the prospective buyer to see themselves in it more easily. I would actually use those as my primary pic, and include one shot with the houndstooth inserts to let them know they come with. Great car. Sorry to see you selling it.

How does this change if I found out the hood has been repainted? I'd say losing the "no paint work" selling point greatly reduces the value.

I would be interested in the collective brain trust's impressions on this one, I have a buddy in the Pac NW who is in love with it.
To me it looks a little wet underneath, interior is pretty beat up but worst of all, the seller is redlining the car prior to the oil being fully warmed up.

Anthony, I know you have looked and commented on this one at BAT, any further thoughts?
Thanks in advance, the potential buyer is a good guy and would be a great contributor here, has been a big help to me on the M3 forum.

What's the story behind the hood? It definitely reduces the value IMO. For the money they are asking, I would need it to be 100% original and pretty much perfect.

My problem with this car is the seller quotes leak down numbers of 2% or lower. No chance those are true numbers. If the seller is not honest about this or does not know, what else is he not disclosing or doesn't know about?

Maybe he means leak down #’s that are within 2% of each cylinder? Either way, it’s a careless mistake.

Pretty sure they're made up... Additionally the sheet below says the test was done in June of 2018 @124,326miles.
According to the carfax this car had 124,180 in April of 2017. It 2017 it was moved to TX and then a year later the registration was renewed in TX and some how it only moved 150 miles in all that time and travel plus the owner made sure the registration was renewed. I am calling TOTAL BS.

^ sharp eyes and great logic. again, I buy the buyer never the car. a phone call with the buyer you can find out A LOT about the car and the person. and I like to talk to my buyers too. some buyers are just whiny and expect NEW car at used car prices.
