Thanks to everyone for the kind words! I feel very grateful for the opportunity and to be able to add something like this to my stable.
I'll post up some shots when I get it... I honestly can't help myself and know the car is original, but I at least have to do the suspension on it and keep all the original parts. Can't have that beauty sitting like a 4x4!
Now to round it out with an '89, a '93, and a '94 in C4 guise.
Hmmm. Didn't know that but can believe it. I replaced mine last weekend, '90, and could not believe the amount of dirt that had accumulated underneath the bottom. I had no idea. A mix of sand and really small pebbles......
Now that I know, I wish mine were the updated version.
Yeah you are better off using the newer style gaskets they don't cause the rust issues the earlier ones did.
So the sister to my turbo is for sale in the special for sale section
https://rennlist.com/forums/market/1147358 I know the car and the owner. Nice guy and I am surprised he is selling. I hope he gets his price. It makes it hard to drive mine now more than ever.
Other than the bogus compression and leakdown numbers which didn’t seem to slow down the bids on the other C2 that sold last week. Is it all about the marketing anymore?

Honestly nothing surprises me on BAT anymore. I didn’t follow this particular auction but I’d be willing to bet there were the usual idiot BAT commentators who drove the price down who similarly drive the prices up on complete pieces of crap. It’s a strange yet understandable phenomenon and I’m sure one that will be short lived....hopefully.
^^^ you might do more research on the seller. I am not saying anything about this car but I know of a number of recent customers who were takin for the preverbal ride by cars they were sold. When they arrived they looked good but after a while the truth came out and they weren't as presented. I think people are also wising up to the fact the RSA was a less expensive model and nothing overly special over a comparable C2.
RSA are interesting factory cars. Similar to the one I owned, the one above does not have what I think really makes the RSA desirable - which is sunroof delete and LSD. IMO, a real stripper with no AC, sunroof delete and LSD would be the most valuable. Still 75 isn't bad and could represent an off-sale for BAT... It could easily go for 85k the following week.

Bogus leak down numbers, the seller didn't show up until the end. Several clear shill comments. One guy speaking as if he owned the car. The other factor is the seller dealership is well known on BAT but this was a new account on BAT. Multiple accounts done sit well with even the basic public.
