The crazy part is that someone will eventually buy it and not think twice about it, there is an **** for every seat after all.
A targa tip, let alone a targa manual...is not worth 40k. Let that car go. And don't spend up for a tip. You will buy one from a non-dealer for the price the dealer would pay...10k less. And you will receive the service records w the car.

Everyone needs to demand service records. Cars w no history come with higher risk, so the seller needs to comp the buyer for the added risk. Sorry. But we are the community and the community needs to take a stand.

I feel bad for the nube that gets taken by these people. Don't let it be you.

Forest Green, I'll take it. Looks like a ROW import.

Just thought of this. If it breaks down the owner can yell at it, "Run Forest, Run!" ....

Ive noticed on Autoscout that a lot of Euro 964's have back seats like that. I wonder why they didn't offer it here??

Agreed and I did let it go. I wanted to pick up a Tip Targa for my wife since she can't drive stick, but the asking prices continue to be so ridiculous that I may just scrap the air cooled idea altogether.

Who in their right mind is gonna come through and pay $57k for this car?

No one apparently, it's been for sale since August.

That's hysterical...I've been thinking exactly the same thing. Mine refuses to learn to drive a stick...but I can't get myself to pull the trigger on a tip. Never driven one. I've heard lots of good stuff, but I hate torque converter automatics...

Still thinking...

Keep in mind that a good targa just sold a few months ago, for under 35k. The guy had been trying to sell it forever. Be patient, it'll come.

That dealer called me when I was looking and I had posted a WTB ad. He was rude, and was spreading all sorts of "disinformation". I'm guessing he preys on ill informed buyers. He told me I would never find the car I was looking for in my budget.

In one way he was right...... I found a better one !!!

He usually has 3 or 4 cars listed and they are always 10+ grand higher than they should be. They are all still for sale since as long as I have been looking now.

I have been thinking about buying a few cars, completely sorting them out, and selling them for these kind of prices...someone who knows the time and cost of sorting would pay it. But unsorted..ouch.

Very cool! That car has so much going for it, a lot of "mods" you don't have to do, haha!

Default 1991 C2 Targa $34.9K

I just spotted this one on craigslist. It's near Tacoma, Washington.

Looks nice, expect it's an automatic. I don't know the owner.
