What do y'all do for waterless washing? Past discussion is limited; I dug up mark lintott's thread from 2019 about the AMMO products which I'm perfectly happy going with, but open to suggestions. We're in the throes of pollen season here so it needs a rinse every outing or two... not ideal to be doing with water.

Start up a separate thread and I and I know a few others can post up some recommendations.

Notice on my "new to me" Targa, that the car has trouble starting on cold starts. It will start and then stall immediately. Takes 2 or 3 tries to get it going and then runs smooth. Only have this issue on first start. After that, the car starts as it should the rest of the day. Thoughts? I can live with it for the time being but I don't want to get stranded somewhere if its the sign of something failing.

Its funny actually. On my previous 964, i used to have the opposite issue. Trouble starting on hot starts....almost like vapor lock. Gotta love these cars

Cool! I did not realize I had the OEM gas cap OR a key to fit it! Double whammy!

At what point does your temp gauge make you nervous? Mine was idling in Miami at the upper line (10 o'clock). Is this too hot?

It would make me nervous if it didn’t subsequently drop to 9 o’clock as the thermostat opened. How long was it at 10?

10 is the upper limit for my nerves. Is your engine tray still on? I’d make sure to remove it first thing in Miami.

Could you hear the low/high speed oil cooler fan operating?

Engine tray is still on. I figure that would help, not hinder cooling???

I was sitting with the mechanic connected to diagnostics for maybe 5 mins. with the engine running. I did not listen for the fan. It has been running before at high speed so I would expect it was going full speed.

The undertray traps heats, I believe, not helps get rid of it. Especially when not moving. Most people don’t have one for that reason.

Just installed an RS carpet kit from FVD. Fits great! Once installed, I noticed 2 exposed screws on the passenger side. The top one is similar to the screw on the drivers side that’s covered by the white cover below the brake fluid reservoir. Anyone know if there are covers for the ones on the right?

Mechanic noticed the oil cooler fan was not operating properly. So he took out some relay and it's doing the job until we get to troubleshooting that.

I'm glad I posted this. The gauge was not making me concerned on its own.

"..doing the job" I guess you mean the relay is working? There is the (low speed) ballast resistor mounted atop the cooler near the front that is prone to cracking/breaking with age. Also the fan operation input signals require the correct functioning of the complex CCU electronics. For me my oil cooler fan does not come on in normal behaviour (I know the fan speeds do work when I jump the relay). It's my CCU not doing its job. However, it's been like that for years and my oil temp has barely ever lifted above the 9 o'clock position even in long mid-summer queues on long trips in France.
