Thanks guys, I sure am looking forward to driving this properly soon.

Only had the morning available to play with the car and now that the MOT is out of the way I can fit the various under-trays back on.

The carbon fuel-pump cover and centre tunnel fitted a treat

This one is far from finished :-)

Still have a long list of jobs to finish off which include the felt headliner fitting, rear cage fitting and making a custom handbrake surround :-)

Just a few of the mods still to come (in no particular order)

Keyless doors and ignition
Plumbed in fire extinguisher
RS lightweight flywheel/clutch
Single pulley conversion
Custom carbon ducting for front brakes
Entire CCU replacement (with something far simpler)
Duck tail
High level 3rd brake light
...
...

Great minds think alike... I've been tinkering with some ideas to replace the grossly over-complicated CCU unit. I'll probably go with a micro-controller based servo controller system, where I can use cheap off the shelf high torque RC servos to drive each flap.

The problem is that the CCU also controls activation of the oil cooling fan, as well as additional fuel injection during coasting keep the heater running. The oil cooler issue is fixed with a simple on and off switch, and I think I could live with no heater while coasting downhill. Never lift, right???

Does anyone have a heating / A/C system that actually works in a 964?
Mine doesn't, and it's a daunting process to figure out what might be the issue!

:-) I still havn't figured out the relationship between the buttons/sliders and servo positions!
I mean, really! Why are they needed!
I'd seal up the underdash vents and simply have all air going to screen and dash vents. If you want all air on the screen then shut the dash vents - Simples right?
All you then need is mixer for the temp and a fan speed controller.

Yes. I don't have AC installed but the heater works a treat... after lubing the blower fans to eliminate the whine.

Inspiring to say the least -

Just fitted 4-pot calipers to my 1990 C2 plus refurbished the front ones, that took long enough!

I don't have A/C either, but my anyway the rest of the system only works when it wants to!

Fuch, was talking about a fine element heated windscreen as per Ford, this is an ideal option for me as I prefer heated seats to having hot air blowing out.

I totally agree - give me the controls and I'll set them how I like depending on how I'm feeling. Unfortunately, manufacturers try to be sophisticated and attempt to give the user a single **** (temperature). They spend literally millions in modern cars trying to get that right, and I think they are wasting their time...
