I have fitted a seat very similar to yours. Very light. Only control is a manual slider. Unfortunately I have lost my helmet clearing headroom compared to the A8. It looks like I need to have a new rear crossbar machined to allow the seat to dip into the seat well. Is that what Mark supplied you with?

The key is due for a backdate so maybe I can combine getting a new head and doing some drilling. You're on.

I'm pretty sure he didn't provide me with anything lowering but my seats do look lower down than yours. Mine has no seat rails, carpet, sunroof or headlining though...It just went into the floor pan holes

Thanks, that provides a reference. Given the A8 gave my 6'4" frame helmet headroom with sliders and sunroof I know this is just a matter of engineering adjustment. It would be good to buy an off the shelf product but that appears unlikely.

I'll measure the seat base to roof length just to check I need to go up and see its engine in pieces this week anyway

The sunroof makes quite a difference but those A8's are impressive

Unhappy

Not that anyone cares after my soft French cheese photos but it appears that the engine damage isnt much to do with the cam chain tensioner. The crank is damaged badly , two conrods are knackered plus a whole host of other old age related issues. It was just her time to let go....

*sniff*

So complete rebuild it is...sold my spare Gulf grill badge and some original Gulf Porsche posters to help pay the imminent bills...

So what spec engine you going for? And why you abandoning the supercharger route?

It fits where the aircon compressor goes, having paid quite some money to relocate the controls into the glovebox to keep the aircon I'm not sure this is the way forward. It will seriously need a brake upgrade for 400+ HP. Then suspension. Pro9 have also found a well priced 3.6 piston set but not low compression. This car was done to look like a 70's car not to outdrag Turbos

We will see...in the meantime do PM me if you fancy getting your 964 or 993 supercharged - offers welcome

Painter not so keen on doing the orange and black stripes so am looking at race graphics if anyone knows anyone please do shout..

car still in pieces...but she will return. Perhaps Nitrous is a better option than a blower.

Bid on a 928 manual the other day. No sunroof. Perfect for a lightweight RS/ CS conversion...didn't get it. Next time maybe.

Hope everybody is well and enjoying their 964's. UNLIKE ME

Graphics is a no brainer - go to Rick at Highgate House his work is impeccable and he does Carrera Cup cars, 962's, you name it - even mine!
