Another backdate from DP. This one kept the 964 junk under the rockers, but changed the rockers a bit to minimize the fat rocker look.

DP has a lot of fun in their workshop...lots of interesting projects.

The front and rear bumpers look to be just a little bit deeper than the true Longhood bumpers. As for the side sil, I'll reserve my judgement for when I see it in the flesh. These photos are mostly from a low angle, and even regular 964 sils look big from down low. They definitely look like quality parts.

Bonus, there's only one hole to fill with these sils.

The only issue I saw w/ their sills is that they are bonded into place. What happens when you need to service all the oily bits underneath?

could it be that the sills not actually only look deeper but also thicker?

The problem with the sills on a backdate is there shouldn't be any. Looks out of place part of the beauty of the RS was no sills and exposed oil lines. Made the body look less tall and better proportioned. I was going to remove the ones on my clone but sold it before I ever did anything.

Honestly, I'm not affiliated with DP...they just have so many cool projects going on in their shop.

Their display at Essen Techno Classica

What a frunk!
Motons, lightweight battery, electric power steering, and a kill switch. (plus no heavy spare)

that is perfect - would just add a little singer-like touch (padded orange material) to cover some of the wires
and the putty white/blue is a great touch too.

but which Elec power steering unit is that? The ones of the RSR are $1000 - seems like a lot ...
for a funny whiring sound, lighter steering and maybe 5 extra hp (when you're turning ..
ie in a straight line the steering belt isn't draining hp I recon so no gain on the straight) ...

or is there a cheaper source for them/similar part?
