OK...I decided to move forward and get the 964 that I looked at last week.

It may not be the best condition one available and may need a bit of work but that is fine with me.

I will have it at my house by Saturday at the latest but trying for Friday.

I am sure I will asking lots of questions on how to get this car into the shape I would like it to be in.

Here is a link to it's eBay ad

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Midni...orcev4exp=true

Thanks in advance,
Steve

Wrong link. Congrats dude! We all know the feeling. I just experienced it earlier this year with my 964 purchase.

Thanks...updated the link...

My experience may not be as good as I have some work ahead of me...but I am sure it will be an interesting ride to get the car where I want it to be.

I will pull out the detailing supplies on Saturday to see what kind of shine I can get out of the body with a DA and some Meg products.

It is no doubt going to be a journey and I will document it with pics all the way.

Congrats on the new purchase. The exterior looks great. Can't wait to see what some detailing will do.

Thanks...yes no doubt decent body...there is some rust showing at the bottom corners of the windshield but not too bad. the rest of the body looks really good. now that driver's seat...is just ugly and worn.

the engine runs well but does have oil leaking past the valves and leaks oil and will eventually needs a top end rebuild to resolve these issues.

Congratulations. What are your plans for the car? Will you be keeping it as is or do you have any planned mods? And how will you be using the car? Street, drivers ed, racing, concours, all of the above?

Thanks all.

Plan to be using the car for Street/DE.

I am going to be relying on the forum a lot to determine what are the best steps to take and the correct order to take them in.

Once I get it home I will take a bunch of pictures...my budget for this tops will be 20K and I dont want to go big bang but in steps.

Are you sure you want to give these guys that much power?!
Can't wait to see the car and hear your impressions.

Yes, but I am not going to rush into it...it is going to be a planned out approach.

I don't have a lot of knowledge with this platform...or maybe any really but have experience working on cars. It is always good to take advice from ppl that are more informed but in the end I have to make the right decisions.
