Difficult to get into gear
Hello experts,
My 964 came out of storage and I did have the tranny fluid changed before I stored it. However, the gear is getting progressively more and more difficult to engage while stationary. Thoughts on what the culprit may be?

Perhaps you can check your clutch slave cylinder and its fluids.

+1 on clutch subsystem... check fluids, then a bleed. One test is to see if it's hard to shift with the car OFF... If it's easy, 10-1 it's the clutch fluids.

Does it go into gear easily with the engine off? If no, then I would suspect that you have a clutch issue, either a defective clutch pedal roll pin or hydraulic slave/master issue. If it is hard to shift even with the engine running, I would check your shift linkage. I had a defective rubber cup in the shift linkage which made shifting feel bad. When I took the linkage off the bottom of the shift lever, the rubber cup had disintegrated. Fortunately, its an easy fix to replace it.

Just a few lines here I replaced my two cups on the car and found a new part number 928-424-005-01-M100 this I think is part number 15 on the shift rod the other end is part number 16.
Instead of getting the whole rod I just bought the plastic cup that goes in .. The part number is for a 928 but on the forums here it was said to fit. Put it in about a year ago and has been working great.

This part # 928-116-145-03-M100
Seems like this cup should fit in either cup....
After install shifting was alot better ...
One ???? though how can you tell if you motor mounts are bad as far as the gap in them ..

Changing the hydraulic clutch fluid is easy. The way I do it is with a pressure bleeder (Motiv). Hook it up to the brake fluid reservoir and then open the bleed nipple on the clutch slave cylinder. Keep it open until you see fresh fluid.

Thanks Rob
Sorry for my lack of knowledge on this but are you saying the brake fluid and clutch fluid are one and the same? Also where is the clutch slave cylinder located?
