Thank you for your reply Colin it is always good to learn. I may go the remap route if I can gain enough to make it all worth it I will see there are some race buddies here and I have some good mechanics so I will have a few beers with them and talk .Just got done installing evap fans in my 964 a few more screws and all is good puts out some serious air now good for this Texas heat, as I said thanks for sharing .. Randy,
It's a good point - if only all things in life were so straightforward. As I see it the problem is more complex in that the 964 Motronic ecu is also a serious performance limitation due to its processing speed and air flow measurement strategies, hence why we only fit injectors as part of the 9m Motec conversion. Back in the day we had Motec running on stock injectors and could not get more than 305hp from the 964RS, whereas with the larger injectors we achieved 324hp with no further mods. All of this 20hp gain came from sequentially fuelling the cylinders with a denser shot of fuel timed to hit the combustion chamber at the optimum point in the cycle. At full load the stock 964 ecu "batch fires" as it reverts to continuous injection (think 3.2 Carrera) hence a larger injector would not give you a huge benefit as you have no sequential control of the injection point in the cycle.

    Or:

No. Save your money and just have it remapped.

    Colin

Hey Randy, We are all done with the tools. I don't have any more to deliver. There is a guy named ToreB I think who has a nice version that does the same thing, for less money. Do a search on OBD on here and he should come up
