I'd buy some 16" fuch's tomorrow if I could find some at a decent price. Don't give a rats if they are replica's or not, just want them for my 964 and don't want to pay stupid money for them. I guess sooner or later someone will make them in 16" when the demand warrants it.

Original 16's wont ever fit a narrow body 964 so I'd give up your search.

Here is a pic of a 951 8 inch fuch(most favourable offset) on the front of a 964:

And here is a 911 9inch on the back:

If you went widebody using narrow body running gear you might just about get away with it.

Ordered a set of 17" Fuchs (black centres) yesterday for my black 964 C2. Can someone reassure me I've ordered the correct ones, i.e. 9J ET55 for the back and 7J ET55 for the front? Sudden panic that I've done something wrong and will have the rigmarole of sending them back to Germany!

so, what's the verdict on the Otto's in 17in....do we need a spacer in the rear or not?

Also, I see GMP Performance recommending 8in et52 in the front and a 9in et52 in the rear, no spacers. Anyone have experience with this fitment?

What (if anything) did you have to do to get the 18s in there?

Hi,

21mm H&R mag-alloy spacers on the rears (to clear oil line) and later 7mm H&R spacers on the fronts to stop tyres rubbing on the inner arches (now repainted), camber adjustment and alignment.

The ride height (on Bilstein B16's) had already been dropped as I was previously running 18" Veloce Speedline RS's.

Next on the list is tie-rods, ball-joints, bushings, camber plates and rear top mounts to complete the upgrade to the whole set-up. Wish I'd done all that when I fitted the B16's but I was spending money on the engine at the time.

Cheers,
Paul

Is the general consensus 17" or 18" set up looks better on 964s? Thinking about a set for my cab which has 17" Cups on it now (which I will keep of course) and haven't seen the two side by side....and given my car is black - wondering if the black Fuchs will be too much black..and does the 17" or 18" have more (visually) polished surface proportionately ? I have no design sense...hoping somebody here does and can comment - maybe pictures. If I put 18's what is the offset and do I have to realign if I don't use spacers?

I'm only speaking for myself, but if you go with a multi-piece looking wheel its best to go with a 18" wheel on the 964. Otherwise with a 17" wheel the face appears quite small on the 964 body.

But if just one piece wheel, both 17 and 18" wheels have good appeal, just matter of preference.
