I've been out of the loop on the Fuchs offering, but perusing this thread has been great to catch me up.
I really appreciate the photos of the backside work the 9m posted:
Fuchs Backside
This explains the weight disparity (and likely any cost delta, if there is one) between our Fikse-made product and the Fuchs offering - the additional machine time (we have a LOT of it; moreso than the front-side modeling, even, which is extensive to faithfully represent the historic shape):
Zuchs Backside
Overall, I'm a fan of the new Fuchs; I like the revision on the old theme for the high-offset cars.
And seeing the decisions made for the sake of efficiency in backside work (in addition to the pedal shaping) helps me understand how they can bring the product to market for such a relatively small audience and maintain acceptable margins that a larger company needs, at market-bearable prices (I assume their pricing is in line with the market, or they likely wouldn't have launched)
I'd love to see backside work on some of the other market offerings as well, hopefully similar images are also buried in the previous posts?
For me, this is turning out to be a really great Rennlist thread already (considering the few posts I've read) - I'll be reading it in entirety over the weekend!

17" also for me. I feel that if one of your primary motives in going with the Fuchs is weight savings, then you ought to get the lightest/smallest configuration of the two, which would be the 17".
I'm also hesitant to go to the 18" size because of suggestions from Streather and others that the 18" size isn't recommended for the 964. I know lots of people use it without problems but I am not going to chance it.
