Default OZ Alleggerita Wheels for 964

Good afternoon all.
I was looking for a good set of lightweight wheels and that will also look good on a 964 car. They only one that are very affordable are the OZ Alleggerita HLT.

I am looking for anyone who could provide pictures of the 18" on the 964. I do autocross and was not really looking at getting 2 sets of wheels and 2 sets of tires. I currently have the CUP 1 17" on my car, and if I like the OZ wheels I may sell my 17s and just run the OZ on street and autocross with a compromised tire in the low 180-220 UTQG.

Any picture of 964 with the OZ rim would be fine, 993 as well.

Thanks

Will follow with interest as this is what I am thinking about doing as well - going to one set for street and autocross- but I was looking a 888's for tires-
Right now I run street tires on my 17 - Cup 1's as I love the look (but only have 7.5 and 8's- Autocross on 17 Turbo's - 7.5 and 9 - with Hooziers A6's - but the wheels are heavy -
Think the OZ Alleggerita's are the lightest out there - looking at the 18's with a 8 & 9 width -

Gus, I'm with you on that. I also want ot run 225 & 265 tires on the 8 & 10 OZ wheels. These wheels are actually overall 30 lbs lighther than my current CUP Is 7.5 and 9 wide. The other option wa the magnesium CUP 1, but at more than $2500 for a set of used,... no thank you, additionally that extremely rare to find.

Thanks SML for the links great car and nice set up. Are those black or the anthracite color?

Thanks again

You would be a lucky man indeed to find Mag Cup 1's for $2.5 K. They are trading hands in Europe for 3 to 4 times that number. The OZ's are light and I too am looking forward to seeing this develop.

I am almost ready to order these wheels, just a bit weary of the weakness of the material. I have not found anything as to how they hold in autocross conditions. Are these prone to bend easy???

I realy like this color, I am hoping this would look good on a midnight blue car.

I though about the blue but I think it would clash with my car, so i think I'm going with the anthracite color.

I'll go for the 8 front ET 52 or 57 not sure what would fit best
and rear 10 ET 65, and planning on runing 225 and 265 with Hankook Ventus with the 140 UTQG.

Front,
My thread detailed the 8ET50 ..why do you want to move the wheel another 2mm or 7mm inwards? Ideally I think about 8ET45 ish would be about perfect.

Rear,
What spacer are you planning with the 10ET65?

To be honest, I have no idea what is the ideal ET front and back.

I'll take any suggestion I can. I went with ET 65 back because I had Sport Classic wheels (996) on my car previously and the rear were ET 65. Similarely with front, but I suppose each wheels are constructed differently and would have variance in the offset.

I will read you thread again and make sure I oder the correct offset, although I am not planning on running the 235s up front and only 265 to the rear.

P.S. I am not planning on using spacers at all.

Thanks

Stephane

With ET65 you need a +-20 mm spacer to maket the wheel fit. ET around 48 is a good fit in the rear.

Many have also reported about 10 ET42/43mm is nice, but you would need strong neg camber to make this work.

I agree about 43-48 is a good range for no guard rolling.

When I watched the wheel alignment guy adjust the camber, it can move the top corner of the rear tyre about 10mm .. just keep in mind .. it depends on what you are planning. If you are going max neg camber about -2 deg then aim for about 43 and a 'street' type camber then go for about 47.

Anyway if you go for the OZ Alleggerita then you have only 2 options from memory in the 10" rears ..
10ET65 - needs spacer
10ET40 - max neg camber and slight guard roll / flare.

Or I think there were 9" options for the rear also - the tyrerack recommended fitment.

I was very happy with my 10ET40

Ok, thanks guys, I am convinced. This coming Sunday is the last autocross of the season. Then after I pull the plug on these OZ rims.

The CUP 1s will be for sale by Thanksgiving, so watch out for Christmas present.
