8ET50 Install & Photos
Just bolted on 8" ET50 wheels with 235/40 Kuhmo Ecsta XS KU36 tyres.
Car is at RS height -10mm.
Camber unknown (alignment is pending).
Clearance is about 1cm between the tyre and the guard. I can't squeeze my hand between the guard & tyre.
Shocks are about 450lbs.
Yet to test drive .. fingers crossed there is no rubbing.
Here are some pics which might help those deliberating with wheel offsets, width and tyre sizes.

It was nice of that guy to post photos of his 10ET40 Alleggerita wheels (side-on from a distance) .... but a few more close-ups would have been helpful

Took the car for a drive this morning and the 235/40R18 8ET50 rubbed on the front corner at the joint between the panel and bumper.
I shaved down that corner joint with an angle grinder, then noticed that it rubs against the screw fixing that black plastic fender lining - only on the one left side. I then removed the screw as a temporary fix and it is almost ok, but the corner of the left tyre still rubs the black plastic lining when turning the wheel slightly to the right. The lining has some 'give' in it so I think it will be ok for a few days and will get the pros to sort it out next week.
In hindsight, I should have gone for 225/40. EDIT: read below ...

Update .. height adjustment, wheel alignment, and fender lip rolling on the rear.
Incorrect .. 235/40 is perfect with the correct alignment.
Wheel alignment was carried out today and the caster was maxed out at 2 degrees. We could not close to the 4 degrees as per the porsche specs.
When the caster was adjusted by 0.5 degree, this shifted the front wheel about 2 to 3mm rearwards, and there are no problems with the tyre hitting that black inside fender panel.

Please read your previous thread ...

And dont forget there are 2 fonts ... old school and a more modern font. I chose the more modern font which is a close match to the Carrera writing on the rear spoiler (rather than the old school font from the '70s.)

hi f3nr15,
yep .... but unfortunately it's not an upgrade ... the new house build has taken a priority so i think we'll get by with one car for a while.
disappointing as it's the only car that gets more enjoyable the longer that you own it.

rears are going good, except the tire wear on the inside edge due to the max neg camber. there is still clearance to reduce the neg camber and bring the tyre edge closer to within 1mm from the guard edge

Thank God there's potentially hope after some final camber/caster adjustment.
I've read your thread in the past, but for some reason my memory of what you went through didn't click until now that I'm experiencing a similar issue. I just drove my car home to drive for a few days to let the springs settle before taking it back for it's final height adjustment, alignment, spacing (rears), and corner balance. My front wheels and tires are almost the same spec (8.15" wide and et50) and I'm experiencing the EXACT same thing you wrote about in your original post. Unfortunately I have another .15" width on you, and it looks like it's on the outside (bad).
What's been bringing me down the past few days is the realization that I won't be able to go quite as low as I envisioned. The height is roughly set somewhere around RS-5 to RS-10mm. I'm at max low in the front right now with a slight rub at about 10 - 15 deg turning, but plenty of room in the rear. My rears are a little more conservative (9.75" wide and et50). Looks like the rears will actually need about 8 mm of spacer to bring them out where I want them.
Frustrating to say the least. I'm pondering a few options, but I'd rather just keep things where there at now and somehow massage the fenders where needed. The other alternatives I can think of are an outside rim half swap-out or possibly smaller width tires (225 or even 215), but that's sort of an unknown if that latter option would work.
Maybe it doesn't look so bad from an outside perspective. I just had a certain look in my mind and after lots of money its looking like I'm not going to achieve it.

Not too shabby from a distance. Just wish I could be about 3/4" lower. If only I could call upon Naki San to make it work and had endless amounts of money.
