That's a beaut Frank and I'm lovin' the wheels, good work!
Cleaning your Porka can be very therapeutic - not sure I'd want to do it in this weather though... mines tucked up in the garage.

Thanks for the kind words!
Yup the weather is cold, thats for sure. The wax took an age to haze....
She's no trailer queen... she has her stone chips... but I'm very proud of them... they were collected from sweeping roads of Wales, the south of France and Italy...
My stone chips: they're little reminders of fond memories and that my car for fills it's purpose, to be driven with a perfect rhythm![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Besides it seems she polishes up well.... thank you for all the kind words![Big Grin](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Yup intending on taking some interior pics today...
I have absolutely no idea... I presume so because... he sold it to a specialist... believe it or not he cannot remember the name of the specialist and there are no papers... the car only had 45,000 miles at the time... my father had said that the dealer had said he was going to tidy her up before selling on... but no signs since...

Cheers. Not a lot mod wise... fitted G-Pipe, H&R springs, Cup steering wheel and some minor tweaks to the interior. I am thinking about some sort of ECU upgrade, to improve low-end rev range and add a bit more bhp. The jury is still out on that one, but I do also want to sort the sound system in the near future.
Like yours, I also have a few stone chips - you're absolutely right, it adds character!

Sounds good.
I'm thinking the same thing ECU wise, I hear it's necessary/ great to get intended power gains when having done exhaust work... which I'm in the same boat... having done a de-cat and G-pipe myself...
9M do an ECU package which looks brilliant... now it's just a question of time... with Christmas coming up I'm spending money on the family... I'll wait until some time next year...
Pls definitely let me know how you progress with ECU... would love to hear your thoughts...
Stereo... have just had that done myself... I had a pro do it... all in he was a bargain... he knew his stuff, having worked on super cars, etc... and yet his labour was cheaper than halfords![Big Grin](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Just make sure that when you do replace the speakers they are placed within the metal door frame it self and dynamatted.... not just bolted to the door card as factory... the sound improvement is second to none... plus the holes in the door frame are already there, precut and ready for fitment...
£350 later, hidden behind factory speaker grills... the sound is great!![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Although on my wish list is an amplifier, and a 2010 'Porsche Classic Radio Navigation System'... using its av out I would connect it to one of those stock looking rearview mirrors that has a secret screen incorporated in part of it (the one pictured is not stock looking enough)....

How long ago did he sell the car? Might be worth posting on the 911 page with some pics and details to see if anyone knows the car? You could try PCGB forums as well? I use to own a 944 turbo which turned up at a local PCGB meeting a couple of years back! The owner only lives half an hour away from me and is even related to an old school friend! Was great to see it again and to see it being well looked after!! Good luck with the search if you decide to keep looking.

Yes and vice versa, if you make any progress Frank - keep me posted
I did think about a cat bypass and asked my Indy to check the condition of my cat last time it was in for a service. He advised that it was in good order and I probably wouldn't notice any great improvement by going down the de-cat path. However, I'd guess it would be a necessity priory to a re-map if you want to achieve the best results.
Yeah I really like the 'Porsche Classic Radio Navigation System', not seen the screen in the rear view mirror before though - cool.
I currently have an Alpine head unit, with iPod connection and from investigation it looks like the speakers have been replaced fairly recently with Focal items. Surprisingly though the sound quality is pretty tinny and I get a fair bit of high frequency distortion. This could be down to the original wiring in need of replacement, or perhaps a stock amp issue, so I'll need to investigate further in the new year. I think I may start by replacing the wiring, amp and all speakers and then see how that sounds with the current head unit. If I'm not happy with the sound after that, I quite fancy a Becker unit.
Ah the joys of 911 ownership - the mods list never ends!

Gorgeous car Frank... No wonder you wanted to kill the guy/gal who backed into it. In some parts of the U.S. "He needed Killin' " is a justifiable defense for murder, and this would certainly fit.
