I think it’s safe to say that most of the cars that end up in the hands of owners here on Rennlist are fortunate and being saved from further aging.

They’re fortunate to have great owners and we are fortunate to be able to afford them.

but I'm sure I'll have to make some compromises ;-)

 

The Cabrio option may help you find it sooner. Forest Green to my knowledge was not available in 1992 or later unless via Sonderwunsch or Special Order maybe. C2 Cabrio may be out there in this color. Coupe have not seen one recently and the only Targa in this color I have seen was picked up last month and it is posted somewhere else on this thread. Price point, condition? I just picked up that forest green targa JAB mentioned a few weeks ago. Amazing car, 1-owner (I'm the second), 70k mi. I would imagine that my spec is one of one!

 

I wouldn’t rule out 90 and especially 91 MY as it is the highest production year and will likely improve your chances of finding something. If you’re concerned about the engine issues just confirm with the seller if the car has had a proper reseal and or reduce price accordingly and assume it will need to be done.

Good luck with the search, these aren’t easy to find even in the standard colors. Finding a Targa outside of red/black/white is tough, cabrio’s may be easier.
