Best looking targa i have seen! The targa looks very nice when low, black and the best looking rims.

 

Hmm....didn't know this thread existed until I saw reference to it on that "should I buy this Targa that hasn't been started for two years" thread.

Here's a '92 my friend had, and which I probably now own. The carcass, anyway. Here's the only photo I can find, when it got towed back after a light engine fire. Was a high miler when purchased (~130K in 2001), and it caught fire because the solid metal fuel pressure line cracked. Was bent from a previous driveline removal, and managed to run a few years until it fatigued. Right up around the right rear shock tower. Not much damage to the chassis, but they totaled it. Shell has been sitting outside for the past 6-7 years up at my friend's place in the foothills. Definitely would never be rebuilt. Might make an interesting open top racer in our GTL class out here. Not going to hold my breath that I'll ever get that motivated.

 

Thank you for posting Ken! I'm sure this isn't the only one that's seen better days. If you could post (or send me) the VIN I'll post it on page one. A picture of the option sheet under the hood would be great too but I don't want to trouble you. I appreciate your help.

 

Any late Targa Florio's in your list? Possibly made it over from the UK?
