Just got the driver seat in, wide Cobra imolas....been a bit of a pain as the mounts were not correct and Ive remade all the brackets, as I said somewhere I had to redrill the side mounts really low, to allow me to wear a helmet, I am 6 foot so not a giant.
Only slight problem are the shoulder wings, the passenger one misses the door by 5mm so no rubbing (may do with a person in it)
But the driver one hits the door, only by a few mill, but I guess thats a risk with moulded seats.... I cant really shift it any more so will live with it...doors close fine...
Do other seats touch the door?

Also the offset driving position is fairly obvious now (was in my low miles 964 turbo), guess the old seats in the c2 had settled in.....

Still not sure about momo 07 as I now seem to sit nearer the wheel....not road tested yet though.

All in all happy, could not spend extra on big budget seats...

By the way is it easier to read the speedo with a momo 07/ OMP?
My monte carlo is a pain, and the sat nav is to slow.........

HOLY SH__ Daveconn, if you were around about 5-6 years ago, you know that our cars looked EXACTLY the same...same tail, same wheels...wow...nice and "virgin" white.

The block-off plate looks great, I think I'll order one with a few other minor "goodies" I've needed for awhile, like the plastic plugs that blockoff the engine tin where you go thru to loosen the motor mounts.

FWIW, my car weighed 2721lbs with 3/4 tank of fuel so I'm guessing it's about 2660 DRY??

I came in from Sunday qualifying (yesterday) at 2911lbs with about 2/3 of a tank and I weigh 190...think I did the math right?

You don't see in in my pic above but I actually have a 55 mm spacer from MOMO between the hub and steering wheel and with this set up my driving position is really good. I'll see if I can take a pic of this from a better angle.

In my case, that'll be a no!, only wheel I could see the speedo with was the original four spoke bus one.

Bought a cheapo talex speed detector (£30) and mounted it just to the left of the wheel centre on the dash and use that as my speedo.

On track, never use it, just the rev counter.

Haven't got the wide seat Pete, should've though.

Normal seats rub the centre console by a couple of mm (just need to arsed to get the spanners out and adjust them both), loads of room near the doors though.

Yeah, that's a normal boss from MOMO but it is included when you buy the steering wheel from Porsche Motorsport (but both items are in MOMO boxes).

Low, have a look at this thread:

https://rennlist.com/forums/964-foru...details-3.html

Although they're different seats to yours you can see that the mounts have been put on so that the seat can be offset closer to the door or the tunnel depending on what you need. Personally, I didn't need to do this with my Recaro PPs (in my case all bolts to the sliders are inside the mounts) but it might be something you could try?

no the spacer is an additional part. The final 10 mm space you see in the pic is included in the boss-kit and a must if you want to use a horn button.

And yes....the this is the cover I use to keep the wheel clean

But I told you the truth!

This is what I use when I'm not wearing my racing gloves, so it's on for most of the time :-)

It's pretty comfy when it's warm outside to!

wow, i can see why the questions about the wheel being too close now. That boss on the Momo (in Thomas' side view pic) brings the wheel too far into the cabin for my liking. OKay if your 6'2" as you can have the seat further back, but otherwise us peeps with normal legs (short-asses ) would have the wheel to close to our chests.
My current RS wheel is snug up against the 'fat-gaiter' looking part.

Any chance of a measurement of wheel face to dash face Thomas? To see just how far it comes into the cockpit.
Isnt there a stubbier (ie shorter) boss than that available to fit our cars ?

edit: just measured my RS wheel and its face is 17cm from face of rev counter.
