That is the way the seat would go in the drivers side, the opposite direction for the brackets on the passenger side.

great - it seems the logical way to put it together, bob. For the passanger side i have the Normal Recaro side mounts which position it in the center of the seat mounting brackets.
Did they make a right hand set (i would assume so for European customers) but......

i am going to switch out the stock seats for the recars for the parade (i think) it will be a punishing ride down there in June.

You are right, I had a brain Frt, you can't reverse the mounts for the passenger side; the seat would have to be positioned to the right on that side.

To my knowledge the seat was only made to go on the drivers side as delivered by Porsche. When I've been in Germany and looked at an M003 Clubsport RS, which had the race seat on both sides, I didn't notice how the side plates were oriented, or what plates were used, on the passenger side.

I bet the seat and the mounts are the same in an M003 and the driver is to the center and the passenger is to the right.

makes sense - no RHD Cups were produced so no need for them to be made.

Installed in the Car..

A couple of notes...
1. You cannot use these with the stock seat belts - there is not enough room in between the center console and the seat once it is relocated. so only 5-6pt belts will work.
2. this moves the seat 2" to the center of the car - it feels better.

Marc,

Which B-K part # are you referring to? R9062?

I just ordered a set for the drivers side just to see if that works, since I don't have access to the factory mounts.

I recently installed a SPG XL Pro Racer using the Recaro mounts and sliders. I had holes drilled lower than the normal Recaro holes in order to lower the seat a bit and get the angle to what was desired.

Kenny: Griffin Motorwerks in Berkley has the brackets (it's where I got my seat and brackets).

Now it all makes sence, I knew my seat was off centered but couldn't figure what to do to remedy(since both sides are flared). Maybe we could do the same (like in Cupcar's picture) with the brey krause mounts R9062 (reverse one side) since the base plate is sloted. Kgorman, was that your plan??

No, it was 9063 but they did not fit the SPG XL - only the SPG.
